God’s Favor to Zion

1Then I raisedH5375my eyesH5869and lookedH7200,and beholdH2009, there wasa manאִ֑ישׁ'IshH376with ameasuringמִדָּֽה׃mi.DahH4060lineחֶ֥בֶלChe.velH2256in his handוּבְיָד֖וֹu.ve.ya.DoH3027.

2So I saidH559, “Whereאָ֖נָה'A.nahH575are you goingהֹלֵ֑ךְho.LekhH1980?”And he saidH559to me, “Tomeasureלָמֹד֙la.ModH4058JerusalemH3389,to seeלִרְא֥וֹתlir.'otH7200howH4100wideרָחְבָּ֖הּra.che.BahH7341it is and howH4100longאָרְכָּֽהּ׃'a.re.KahH753it is.”

3And beholdוְהִנֵּ֗הve.hi.NehH2009, theangelהַמַּלְאָ֛ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397who had been speakingהַדֹּבֵ֥רha.do.VerH1696with me was goingH3318outH3318,and anotherאַחֵ֔ר'a.CherH312angelוּמַלְאָ֣ךְu.mal.'AkhH4397was goingH3318outH3318to meetלִקְרָאתֽוֹ׃lik.ra.ToH7122him.

4And he saidH559to him, “Runרֻ֗ץRutzH7323,speakדַּבֵּ֛רda.BerH1696to thatH1975youngהַנַּ֥עַרha.Na.'arH5288manH5288thereH1975,sayingH559, ‘Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389will be inhabitedתֵּשֵׁ֣בte.ShevH3427as openפְּרָזוֹת֙pe.ra.zOtH6519countryH6519becauseH4480of themultitudeמֵרֹ֥בme.RoH7230of peopleאָדָ֛ם'a.DamH120and cattleוּבְהֵמָ֖הu.ve.he.MahH929withinבְּתוֹכָֽהּ׃be.to.KhahH8432it.

5But I,’ declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, ‘will be awallח֥וֹמַתCho.matH2346of fireאֵ֖שׁ'eshH784to her on allH5439sidesH5439, and I will be thegloryוּלְכָב֖וֹדu.le.kha.VodH3519in her midstבְתוֹכָֽהּ׃ פve.to.KhahH8432.’”

6“Youה֣וֹיHoH1945thereה֗וֹיHoH1945!Fleeוְנֻ֛סוּve.Nu.suH5127from the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of the northצָפ֖וֹןtza.FonH6828,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, “becauseכִּ֠יkiH3588I havespreadH6566you outH6566like the fourכְּאַרְבַּ֞עke.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּח֧וֹתru.ChotH7307of the heavensהַשָּׁמַ֛יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

7“Youה֥וֹיHoH1945,Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726!Escapeהִמָּלְטִ֑יhi.mal.TiH4422,you who are livingיוֹשֶׁ֖בֶתyo.She.vetH3427withthe daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Babylonבָּבֶֽל׃ סba.VelH894.”

8For the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָאוֹת֒tze.va.'OtH6635saysH559thisכֹ֣הkhohH3541: “Afterאַחַ֣ר'a.CharH310gloryכָּב֔וֹדka.VodH3519He has sentשְׁלָחַ֕נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971me againstH413the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471that plunderהַשֹּׁלְלִ֣יםha.sho.le.LimH7997you, for the one who touchesהַנֹּגֵ֣עַha.no.Ge.a'H5060you, touchesנֹגֵ֖עַno.Ge.a'H5060theappleבְּבָבַ֥תbe.va.VatH892of His eyeעֵינֽוֹ׃ei.NoH5869.

9For beholdH2009, I am going towaveמֵנִ֤יףme.NifH5130My handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027overעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם'a.lei.HemH5921them so that they will beplunderשָׁלָ֖לsha.LalH7998for their slavesלְעַבְדֵיהֶ֑םle.'av.dei.HemH5650.Then you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that the LordH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has sentשְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ סshe.la.Cha.niH7971Me.

10Shoutרָנִּ֥יra.NiH7442forH7442joyH7442and rejoiceוְשִׂמְחִ֖יve.sim.ChiH8055,daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Zionצִיּ֑וֹןtzi.YonH6726;for beholdH2009I am comingבָ֛אva'H935and I willdwellוְשָׁכַנְתִּ֥יve.sha.khan.TiH7931in your midstבְתוֹכֵ֖ךְve.to.KhekhH8432,”declaresH5002the LordH3068.

11“Andmanyרַבִּ֤יםra.BimH7227nationsגוֹיִ֨םgo.YimH1471will joinוְנִלְווּ֩ve.nil.VuH3867themselves to the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068on that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117and will becomeוְהָ֥יוּve.Ha.yuH1961My peopleלְעָ֑םle.'AmH5971. Then I willdwellוְשָׁכַנְתִּ֣יve.sha.khan.TiH7931in your midstבְתוֹכֵ֔ךְve.to.KhekhH8432, and you willknowוְיָדַ֕עַתְּve.ya.Da.'atH3045that the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068of armiesצְבָא֖וֹתtze.va.'otH6635has sentשְׁלָחַ֥נִיshe.la.Cha.niH7971Me to you.

12And the LordH3068willpossessוְנָחַ֨לve.na.ChalH5157Judahיְהוּדָה֙ye.hu.DahH3063as His portionחֶלְק֔וֹchel.KoH2506in the holyהַקֹּ֑דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944landאַדְמַ֣ת'ad.MatH127,and will againע֖וֹדodH5750chooseוּבָחַ֥רu.va.CharH977Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃bi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

13“Be silentהַ֥סhasH2013,allכָּל־kol-H3605mankindבָּשָׂ֖רba.SarH1320,beforeמִפְּנֵ֣יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440the LordH3068; for He hasrousedנֵע֖וֹרne.'orH5782Himself from His holyקָדְשֽׁוֹ׃ סka.de.ShoH6944dwellingמִמְּע֥וֹןmi.me.'onH4583.”
