3“You knowיָדַ֜עְתָּya.Da'.taH3045thatDavidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִ֗י'a.ViH1wasH3201unableלֹ֤אlo'H3808 H3201to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129a houseבַּ֗יִתBa.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁם֙le.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָ֔יו'e.lo.HavH430becauseמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440of the warsהַמִּלְחָמָ֖הha.mil.cha.MahH4421whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834surroundedסְבָבֻ֑הוּse.va.Vu.huH5437him, untilעַ֤ד'adH5704the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068putתֵּת־tet-H5414them underתַּ֖חַתTa.chatH8478the solesכַּפּ֥וֹתka.PotH3709of his feetרַגְלָֽי׃rag.liH7272.

4But nowוְעַתָּ֕הve.'a.TahH6258the Lordיְהוָ֧הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהַ֛י'e.lo.HaiH430has securedH5117me restהֵנִ֨יחַhe.Ni.achH5117on everyמִסָּבִ֑יבmi.sa.VivH5439sideH5439;thereH369isH369neitherH369adversaryשָׂטָ֔ןsa.TanH7854norH369misfortuneפֶּ֥גַע רָֽע׃Pe.ga' Ra'H6294 H7451.

5So beholdH2009, Iintendאֹמֵ֔ר'o.MerH559to buildלִבְנ֣וֹתliv.NotH1129a houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004for the nameלְשֵׁ֖םle.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָ֑י'e.lo.HaiH430,justH3512asH3512the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068spokeדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696to Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732my fatherאָבִי֙'a.ViH1,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘Your sonבִּנְךָ֗bin.KhaH1121,whomH834I will putאֶתֵּ֤ן'e.TenH5414on your throneכִּסְאֶ֔ךָkis.'E.khaH3678inH8478your placeH8478,he will buildיִבְנֶ֥הyiv.NehH1129the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004for My nameלִשְׁמִֽי׃lish.MiH8034.’

7When Hiramחִירָ֛םchi.RamH2438heardכִּשְׁמֹ֧עַkish.Mo.a'H8085the wordsH1697of SolomonH8010,he greatlyמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966rejoicedוַיִּשְׂמַ֣חvai.yis.MachH8055;and he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Blessedבָּר֤וּךְba.RukhH1288be the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068todayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117,whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834has givenנָתַ֤ןna.TanH5414to Davidלְדָוִד֙le.da.VidH1732a wiseחָכָ֔םcha.KhamH2450sonבֵּ֣ןbenH1121overעַל־'al-H5921thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088greatהָרָ֖בha.RavH7227peopleהָעָ֥םha.'AmH5971.”

8So Hiramחִירָם֙chi.RamH2438sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971wordto Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “I have heardשָׁמַ֕עְתִּיsha.Ma'.tiH8085the messagewhichH834you sentשָׁלַ֖חְתָּsha.Lach.taH7971me; I will doאֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙'e.'e.SehH6213everythingכָּל־kol-H3605you wishחֶפְצְךָ֔chef.tze.KhaH2656concerning the cedarאֲרָזִ֖ים'a.ra.ZimH730and juniperבְרוֹשִֽׁים׃ve.ro.ShimH1265timberH6086.

9My servantsעֲ֠בָדַי'A.va.daiH5650will bringיֹרִ֨דוּyo.Ri.duH3381the timbersdownH3381from Lebanonהַלְּבָנ֜וֹןha.le.va.NonH3844to the seaH3220;and I will have them madeאֲשִׂימֵ֨ם'a.si.MemH7760into raftsדֹּבְר֤וֹתdoe.RotH1702to goby seaH3220to the placeהַמָּק֞וֹםha.ma.KomH4725whereH834youdirectתִּשְׁלַ֥חtish.LachH7971me, and I will have them brokenH5310upH5310thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033,and you will carryתִשָּׂ֑אti.Sa'H5375them away. 11Solomonוּשְׁלֹמֹה֩u.she.lo.MohH8010then gaveנָתַ֨ןna.TanH5414Hiramלְחִירָ֜םle.chi.RamH2438twentyעֶשְׂרִים֩'es.RimH6242thousandאֶ֨לֶף'E.lefH505korsכֹּ֤רkorH3734of wheatחִטִּים֙chi.TimH2406as foodמַכֹּ֣לֶתma.Ko.letH4361for his householdלְבֵית֔וֹle.vei.ToH1004, andtwentyוְעֶשְׂרִ֥יםve.'es.RimH6242korsכֹּ֖רkorH3734of pureכָּתִ֑יתka.TitH3795oilשֶׁ֣מֶןShe.menH8081;thisH3541isH3541whatH3541Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֛הshe.lo.MohH8010would giveיִתֵּ֧ןyi.TenH5414Hiramלְחִירָ֖םle.chi.RamH2438yearשָׁנָ֥הsha.NahH8141by yearבְשָׁנָֽה׃ פve.sha.NahH8141.

14Then he sentוַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֣םvai.yish.la.ChemH7971them to Lebanonלְבָנ֗וֹנָהle.va.No.nahH3844,tenעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת'a.Se.retH6235thousandאֲלָפִ֤ים'a.la.FimH505a monthבַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ba.Cho.deshH2320in shiftsחֲלִיפ֔וֹתcha.li.FotH2487;they were in Lebanonבַלְּבָנ֔וֹןva.le.va.NonH3844for a monthחֹ֚דֶשׁCho.deshH2320, andtwoשְׁנַ֥יִםshe.Na.yimH8147monthsחֳדָשִׁ֖יםcho.da.ShimH2320at homeבְּבֵית֑וֹbe.vei.ToH1004.
