13Nowוְעַתָּ֣הve.'a.TahH6258therefore, our Godאֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,we thankמוֹדִ֥יםmo.DimH3034You, and praiseוּֽמְהַֽלְלִ֖יםu.me.ha.LimH1984Your gloriousתִּפְאַרְתֶּֽךָ׃tif.'ar.Te.khaH8597nameלְשֵׁ֥םle.ShemH8034.

14“But whoמִ֤יmiH4310am I and whoוּמִ֣יu.MiH4310are my peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971that we shouldbeH6113ableכֹּ֔חַKo.achH6113 H3581to offerלְהִתְנַדֵּ֖בle.hit.na.DevH5068as generously as thisH2088?For allH3605thingsH3605come from You, and from Your handוּמִיָּדְךָ֖u.mi.ya.de.KhaH3027we have givenנָתַ֥נּוּna.Ta.nuH5414to You.

15Forwe are strangersגֵרִ֨יםge.RimH1616beforeלְפָנֶ֛יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440You, and temporaryH8453residentsוְתוֹשָׁבִ֖יםve.to.sha.VimH8453,as allכְּכָל־ke.khol-H3605our fathersאֲבֹתֵ֑ינוּ'a.vo.Tei.nuH1were;our daysיָמֵ֛ינוּya.Mei.nuH3117on the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776are like a shadowכַּצֵּ֧ל׀ka.TzelH6738,and thereH369isH369noH369hopeמִקְוֶֽה׃mik.VehH4723.

16Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068our Godאֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ'e.lo.Hei.nuH430,allכֹ֣לkholH3605thisהַזֶּה֙ha.ZehH2088abundanceהֶהָמ֤וֹןhe.ha.MonH1995that we have providedהֲכִינֹ֔נוּha.khi.No.nuH3559to buildלִבְנֽוֹת־Liv.not-H1129You a houseבַ֖יִתVa.yitH1004for Your holyקָדְשֶׁ֑ךָkod.She.chaH6944nameלְשֵׁ֣םle.ShemH8034,it is from Your handמִיָּדְךָ֥mi.ya.de.KhaH3027,and everythingהַכֹּֽל׃ha.KolH3605is Yours.

17Since I knowוְיָדַ֣עְתִּיve.ya.Da'.tiH3045,my Godאֱלֹהַ֔י'e.lo.HaiH430, thatYou putH974the heartלֵבָ֔בle.VavH3824toH974theH974testבֹּחֵ֣ןbo.ChenH974anddelightתִּרְצֶ֑הtir.TzehH7521in uprightnessוּמֵישָׁרִ֖יםu.mei.sha.RimH4339,I, in the integrityבְּיֹ֤שֶׁרbe.Yo.sherH3476of my heartלְבָבִי֙le.va.ViH3824,have willinglyH5068offeredH5068allכָל־khol-H3605theseאֵ֔לֶּה'E.lehH428things;so nowוְעַתָּ֗הve.'a.TahH6258with joyבְשִׂמְחָ֖הve.sim.ChahH8057I have seenרָאִ֥יתִיra.'I.tiH7200Your peopleעַמְּךָ֙'a.me.KhaH5971,who areH4672presentH4672hereפֹ֔הFohH6311,makeH5068theirofferingsH5068willinglyH5068to You.

20Then Davidדָּוִיד֙da.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the assemblyהַקָּהָ֔לha.ka.HalH6951, “Nowנָ֖אna'H4994blessבָּֽרְכוּ־ba.re.khu-H1288the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430.” Andallכָֽל־khol-H3605the assemblyהַקָּהָ֗לha.ka.HalH6951blessedוַיְבָרֲכ֣וּvay.va.ra.KhuH1288the Lordלַיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of their fathersאֲבֹֽתֵיהֶ֔ם'a.vo.tei.HemH1, andbowedוַיִּקְּד֧וּvai.yi.ke.DuH6915downH6915and paidH2331homageH2331to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068and the kingוְלַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ve.la.Me.lekhH4428.

22So they ateוַיֹּאכְל֨וּvai.yo.khe.LuH398and drankוַיִּשְׁתּ֜וּvai.yish.TuH8354that dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117beforeלִפְנֵ֧יlif.NeiH6440the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068with greatגְדוֹלָ֑הge.do.LahH1419gladnessבְּשִׂמְחָ֣הbe.sim.ChahH8057.And they madeH4427Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֣הlish.lo.MohH8010the sonבֶן־ven-H1121of Davidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732kingוַיַּמְלִ֤יכוּvai.yam.Li.khuH4427a secondשֵׁנִית֙she.NitH8145timeH8145, and theyanointedוַיִּמְשְׁח֧וּvai.yim.she.ChuH4886himas rulerלְנָגִ֥ידle.na.GidH5057for the Lordלַיהוָ֛הla.Yah.wehH3068and Zadokוּלְצָד֖וֹקu.le.tza.DokH6659as priestלְכֹהֵֽן׃le.kho.HenH3548.

23ThenSolomonשְׁ֠לֹמֹהShe.lo.mohH8010satוַיֵּ֣שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֨אki.Se'H3678of the Lordיְהוָ֧ה׀Yah.wehH3068as kingלְמֶ֛לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428insteadH8478ofH8478his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1Davidדָּוִ֥ידda.VidH1732;and he prosperedוַיַּצְלַ֑חvai.yatz.LachH6743,and allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478obeyedוַיִּשְׁמְע֥וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085him.

25The Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068highlyלְמַ֔עְלָהle.Ma'.lahH4605honoredוַיְגַדֵּ֨לvay.ga.DelH1431Solomonשְׁלֹמֹה֙she.lo.MohH8010in the sightלְעֵינֵ֖יle.'ei.NeiH5869of allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, andbestowedוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414on him royalמַלְכ֔וּתmal.KhutH4438majestyה֣וֹדHodH1935whichאֲ֠שֶׁר'a.SherH834hadH1961not beenH1961bestowedon anyכָּל־kol-H3605kingמֶ֛לֶךְMe.lekhH4428beforeלְפָנָ֖יוle.fa.NavH6440him in Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.
