Jeremiah 5:25-31
25Your 1iniquitiesH5771 have turnedH5186 theseH428 awayH5186, And your sinsH2403 have withheldH4513 goodH2896 from you.26For wickedH7563 menH7563 are foundH4672 among My peopleH5971, They 2watchH7789 like fowlersH3353 3lyingH7918 in waitH7918; They setH7843 a trapH4889, They catchH3920 menH376.27Like a cageH3619 fullH4392 of birdsH5775, SoH3651 their housesH1004 are fullH4392 of 4deceitH4820; ThereforeH5921H3651 they have becomeH1431 greatH1431 and richH6238.28They are 5fatH8080, they are sleekH6245, They alsoH1571 6excelH5674 in deedsH1697 of wickednessH7451; They do not pleadH1777 the causeH1779, The causeH1779 of the 78orphanH3490, that they may prosperH6743; And they do not 9defendH8199 the rightsH4941 of the poorH34.2910Shall I not punishH6485 11theseH428 people?’ declaresH5002 the LordH3068, ‘On a nationH1471 suchH834 as thisH2088 Shall I not avengeH5358 MyselfH5315?’
30“An appallingH8047 and 12horribleH8186 thingH8186 Has happenedH1961 in the landH776:31The 13prophetsH5030 prophesyH5012 falselyH8267, And the priestsH3548 ruleH7287 14on their own authorityH3027; And My peopleH5971 15loveH157 it soH3651! But whatH4100 will you doH6213 at the endH319 of it?
