Jeremiah 5:25-31
25Your iniquitiesH5771 have turned awayH5186 these things, and your sinsH2403 have withheldH4513 goodH2896 things from you. 26For among my peopleH5971 are foundH4672 wickedH7563 men : they lie in waitH7789, as he that settethH7918 snaresH3353; they setH5324 a trapH4889, they catchH3920 menH582.1 27As a cageH3619 is fullH4392 of birdsH5775, so are their housesH1004 fullH4392 of deceitH4820: therefore they have become greatH1431, and have grown richH6238.2 28They have become fatH8080, they shineH6245: yea, they exceedH5674 the deedsH1697 of the wickedH7451: they judgeH1777 not the causeH1779, the cause of the fatherlessH3490, yet they prosperH6743; and the rightH4941 of the needyH34 do they not judgeH8199. 29Shall I not punishH6485 for these things ? saithH5002 the LORDH3068: shall not my soulH5315 be avengedH5358 on such a nationH1471 as this? 30A wonderfulH8047 and horrible thingH8186 is committedH1961 in the landH776;3 31The prophetsH5030 prophesyH5012 falselyH8267, and the priestsH3548 bear ruleH7287 by their meansH3027; and my peopleH5971 loveH157 to have it so: and what will ye doH6213 in its endH319?4
