18For I knowG3609that nothingG3756goodἀγαθόν·agathonG18dwellsοἰκεῖoikeiG3611in me, that is, in myfleshσαρκίsarkiG4561;for the willingθέλεινtheleinG2309is presentπαράκειταίparakeitaiG3873in me, but the doingκατεργάζεσθαιkatergazesthaiG2716of the goodκαλὸνkalonG2570is not.

19Forthe goodἀγαθόν,agathonG18that I wantθέλωthelōG2309,I do not doποιῶpoiōG4160,but I practiceπράσσω.prassōG4238the veryτοῦτοtoutoG3778evilκακὸνkakonG2556that I do not wantθέλωthelōG2309.

20But ifεἰeiG1487I am doingποιῶ,poiōG4160the veryG3778thingG3778I do not wantθέλωthelōG2309,I am noG3765longerG3765the one doingκατεργάζομαιkatergazomaiG2716it, but sinἁμαρτία.hamartiaG266which dwellsοἰκοῦσαoikousaG3611in me.

21I findεὑρίσκωheuriskōG2147thenἄραaraG686theprincipleνόμονnomonG3551that evilκακὸνkakonG2556is presentπαράκειται.parakeitaiG3873in me, the one who wantsθέλοντιthelontiG2309to doποιεῖνpoieinG4160goodκαλὸνkalonG2570.
