14The sowerσπείρωνspeirōnG4687sowsσπείρει.speireiG4687the wordλόγονlogonG3056.

15TheseοὗτοιhoutoiG3778are the ones whoG3588are besideπαρὰparaG3844the roadὁδὸνhodonG3598whereὅπουhopouG3699the wordλόγος,logosG3056is sownσπείρεταιspeiretaiG4687;and whenὅτανhotanG3752they hearἀκούσωσιν,akousōsinG191,immediatelyG2117SatanσατανᾶςsatanasG4567comesἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064and takesG142awayαἴρειaireiG142the wordλόγονlogonG3056which has been sownἐσπαρμένονesparmenonG4687in them.

16In a similarG3668wayG3668theseοὗτοίhoutoiG3778are the ones on whom seed was sownσπειρόμενοι,speiromenoiG4687on the rockyπετρώδηpetrōdēG4075places,whoοἳhoiG3739,whenὅτανhotanG3752they hearἀκούσωσινakousōsinG191the wordλόγον,logonG3056,immediatelyG2117receiveλαμβάνουσινlambanousinG2983it with joyχαρᾶςcharasG5479;

17and they haveἔχουσινechousinG2192noοὐκoukG3756firmrootῥίζανrhizanG4491in themselvesἑαυτοῖςhe'autoisG1438, but are onlytemporaryπρόσκαιροίproskairoiG4340;thenεἶταeitaG1534,when afflictionθλίψεωςthlipseōsG2347orἢēG2228persecutionδιωγμοῦdiōgmouG1375arisesγενομένηςgenomenēsG1096becauseδιὰdiaG1223of the wordλόγον,logonG3056,immediatelyG2117theyfallσκανδαλίζονται.skandalizontaiG4624awayG4624.

19but the worriesμέριμναιmerimnaiG3308of theworldαἰῶνοςaiōnosG165, and thedeceitfulnessἀπάτηapatēG539of richesπλούτουploutouG4149,and the desiresἐπιθυμίαιepithumiaiG1939for otherλοιπὰloipaG3062thingsG3062enterεἰσπορευόμεναιeisporeuomenaiG1531in and chokeσυμπνίγουσινsumpnigousinG4846the wordλόγον,logonG3056,and it becomesγίνεται.ginetaiG1096unfruitfulἄκαρποςakarposG175.

20And thoseἐκεῖνοίekeinoiG1565are the ones on whom seed was sownσπαρέντες,sparentesG4687on the goodκαλὴνkalēnG2570soilγῆνgēnG1093;and they hearἀκούουσινakouousinG191the wordλόγονlogonG3056and acceptπαραδέχονταιparadechontaiG3858it andbearG2592fruitκαρποφοροῦσινkarpophorousinG2592,thirtyτριάκονταtriakontaG5144,sixtyἑξήκονταhexēkontaG1835,and a hundredfoldἑκατόν.¶hekatonG1540.”
