2Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547wasfuriousוַיִּקְצֹ֣ףvai.yik.TzofH7107with his twoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147officialsסָרִיסָ֑יוsa.ri.SavH5631,the chiefשַׂ֣רsarH8269cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקִ֔יםha.mash.KimH4945and the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269bakerהָאוֹפִֽים׃ha.'o.FimH644.

3So he putוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414them in confinementבְּמִשְׁמַ֗רbe.mish.MarH4929in the houseבֵּ֛יתbeitH1004of thecaptainשַׂ֥רsarH8269of the bodyguardהַטַבָּחִ֖יםha.ta.ba.ChimH2876,in the jailבֵּ֣ית הַסֹּ֑הַרbeit ha.So.harH1004 H5470, the sameplaceמְק֕וֹםme.KomH4725whereאֲשֶׁ֥ר שָֽׁם׃'a.Sher ShamH834 H8033Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130was imprisonedאָס֥וּר'a.SurH631.

4The captainשַׂ֣רsarH8269of the bodyguardהַטַּבָּחִ֧יםha.ta.ba.ChimH2876putH6485Josephיוֹסֵ֛ףyo.SefH3130in chargeH6485of them, and hetookH8334careH8334of them; and they were in confinementבְּמִשְׁמָֽר׃be.mish.MarH4929forsomeH3117timeH3117.

5Then the cupbearerהַמַּשְׁקֶ֣הha.mash.KehH4945and the bakerוְהָאֹפֶ֗הve.ha.'o.PehH644for the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,whoH834were confinedאֲסוּרִ֖ים'a.su.RimH631in jailבְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃be.Veit ha.So.harH1004 H5470,bothשְׁנֵיהֶ֜םshe.nei.HemH8147hadוַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩vai.ya.chal.MuH2492a dreamחֲל֨וֹםcha.LomH2472the sameאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259nightבְּלַ֣יְלָהbe.Lay.lahH3915,eachH376manH376with his owndreamחֲלֹמוֹ֙cha.lo.MoH2472andeachH376dreamחֲלֹמ֑וֹcha.lo.MoH2472with its owninterpretationכְּפִתְר֣וֹןke.fit.RonH6623.

6When Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130cameוַיָּבֹ֧אvai.ya.Vo'H935to them in the morningבַּבֹּ֑קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242and observedוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200them,beholdH2009,they were dejectedזֹעֲפִֽים׃zo.'a.FimH2196.

7He askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֞לvai.yish.'AlH7592Pharaoh’sפַרְעֹ֗הfar.'OhH6547officialsסְרִיסֵ֣יse.ri.SeiH5631whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834were with him in confinementבְמִשְׁמַ֛רve.mish.MarH4929in his master’sאֲדֹנָ֖יו'a.do.NavH113houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004, “Whyמַדּ֛וּעַma.Du.a'H4069are your facesפְּנֵיכֶ֥םpe.nei.KhemH6440so sadרָעִ֖יםra.'ImH7451todayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?”

8Then they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559to him, “We havehadחָלַ֔מְנוּcha.Lam.nuH2492a dreamחֲל֣וֹםcha.LomH2472and thereH369is noH369oneH369to interpretוּפֹתֵ֖רu.fo.TerH6622it.” Then Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them, “Do not interpretationsפִּתְרֹנִ֔יםpit.ro.NimH6623belong to Godלֵֽאלֹהִים֙le.lo.HimH430?Tellסַפְּרוּ־sa.pe.ru-H5608itto me, pleaseנָ֖אna'H4994.”
