Genesis 40:1-8

1And it came to pass afterאַחַר֙'a.CharH310these thingsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697, thatthe butlerH8248of the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714and hisbakerוְהָאֹפֶ֑הve.ha.'o.PehH644had offendedחָֽטְא֛וּcha.te.'UH2398their lordלַאֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖םla.'a.do.nei.HemH113the kingלְמֶ֥לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

2And Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֔הpar.'OhH6547was wrothוַיִּקְצֹ֣ףvai.yik.TzofH7107againstH5921twoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147ofhis officersסָרִיסָ֑יוsa.ri.SavH5631,against the chiefשַׂ֣רsarH8269of the butlersH8248,and against the chiefשַׂ֥רsarH8269of the bakersהָאוֹפִֽים׃ha.'o.FimH644.

3And he putוַיִּתֵּ֨ןvai.yi.TenH5414them in wardבְּמִשְׁמַ֗רbe.mish.MarH4929in the houseבֵּ֛יתbeitH1004of the captainשַׂ֥רsarH8269of the guardהַטַבָּחִ֖יםha.ta.ba.ChimH2876,into the prisonבֵּ֣ית הַסֹּ֑הַרbeit ha.So.harH5470 H1004,the placeמְק֕וֹםme.KomH4725where Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130wasboundאָס֥וּר'a.SurH631.

4And the captainשַׂ֣רsarH8269of the guardהַטַּבָּחִ֧יםha.ta.ba.ChimH2876chargedוַ֠יִּפְקֹדVai.yif.kodH6485Josephיוֹסֵ֛ףyo.SefH3130with them, and he servedוַיְשָׁ֣רֶתvay.Sha.retH8334them: and they continued a seasonיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117in wardבְּמִשְׁמָֽר׃be.mish.MarH4929.

5And they dreamedוַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩vai.ya.chal.MuH2492a dreamחֲל֨וֹםcha.LomH2472both of themשְׁנֵיהֶ֜םshe.nei.HemH8147,each manאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376his dreamחֲלֹמוֹ֙cha.lo.MoH2472in oneאֶחָ֔ד'e.ChadH259nightבְּלַ֣יְלָהbe.Lay.lahH3915,each manאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376according to the interpretationכְּפִתְר֣וֹןke.fit.RonH6623of his dreamחֲלֹמ֑וֹcha.lo.MoH2472,the butlerH8248and the bakerוְהָאֹפֶ֗הve.ha.'o.PehH644of the kingלְמֶ֣לֶךְle.Me.lekhH4428of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, which wereboundאֲסוּרִ֖ים'a.su.RimH631in the prisonבְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר׃be.Veit ha.So.harH5470 H1004.

6And Josephיוֹסֵ֖ףyo.SefH3130came inוַיָּבֹ֧אvai.ya.Vo'H935unto them in the morningבַּבֹּ֑קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242,and lookedוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200upon them, and, behold, they weresadזֹעֲפִֽים׃zo.'a.FimH2196.

7And he askedוַיִּשְׁאַ֞לvai.yish.'AlH7592Pharaoh’sפַרְעֹ֗הfar.'OhH6547officersסְרִיסֵ֣יse.ri.SeiH5631that werewith him in the wardבְמִשְׁמַ֛רve.mish.MarH4929of his lord’sאֲדֹנָ֖יו'a.do.NavH113houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Wherefore lookפְּנֵיכֶ֥םpe.nei.KhemH6440ye sosadlyרָעִ֖יםra.'ImH7451to dayהַיּֽוֹם׃hai.YomH3117?

8And they saidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto him, We have dreamedחָלַ֔מְנוּcha.Lam.nuH2492a dreamחֲל֣וֹםcha.LomH2472, and there isno interpreterוּפֹתֵ֖רu.fo.TerH6622of it. And Josephיוֹסֵ֗ףyo.SefH3130saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Donot interpretationsפִּתְרֹנִ֔יםpit.ro.NimH6623belongto Godלֵֽאלֹהִים֙le.lo.HimH430?tell meסַפְּרוּ־sa.pe.ru-H5608them, I pray you.
