33But when foodwas setוַיּוּשַׂ֤םvayu.semH7760beforeלְפָנָיו֙le.fa.NavH6440him to eatלֶאֱכֹ֔לle.'e.KholH398,he saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “I will not eatאֹכַ֔ל'o.KhalH398untilעַ֥ד אִם־'ad 'im-H5704 H518I have toldדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696my businessדְּבָרָ֑יde.va.RaiH1697.”And he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Speakדַּבֵּֽר׃da.BerH1696on.”

34So he saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “I amAbraham’sאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85servantעֶ֥בֶד'E.vedH5650.

35The Lordוַיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068has greatlyמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966blessedבֵּרַ֧ךְbe.RakhH1288my masterאֲדֹנִ֛י'a.do.NiH113,so that he has becomeוַיִּגְדָּ֑לvai.yig.DalH1431richH1431;and He has givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414himflocksצֹ֤אןtzonH6629and herdsוּבָקָר֙u.va.KarH1241,and silverוְכֶ֣סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֔בve.za.HavH2091,and servantsוַעֲבָדִם֙va.'a.va.DimH5650and maidsוּשְׁפָחֹ֔תu.she.fa.ChotH8198,and camelsוּגְמַלִּ֖יםu.ge.ma.LimH1581and donkeysוַחֲמֹרִֽים׃va.cha.mo.RimH2543.

36NowSarahשָׂרָה֩sa.RahH8283my master’sאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113wifeאֵ֨שֶׁת'E.shetH802boreוַתֵּ֡לֶדva.Te.ledH3205a sonבֵן֙venH1121to my masterלַֽאדֹנִ֔יla.do.NiH113in her oldזִקְנָתָ֑הּzik.na.TahH2209ageH2209, andhe has givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414him allכָּל־kol-H3605that he has.

37My masterאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113made me swearוַיַּשְׁבִּעֵ֥נִיvai.yash.bi.'E.niH7650,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘You shall not takeתִקַּ֤חti.KachH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121from the daughtersמִבְּנוֹת֙mi.be.noTH1323of the Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,in whoseאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834landבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776Iliveיֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427;

38but you shall goתֵּלֵ֖ךְte.LekhH1980to my father’sאָבִ֛י'a.ViH1houseבֵּית־beit-H1004and to my relativesמִשְׁפַּחְתִּ֑יmish.pach.TiH4940,and takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁ֖ה'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִֽי׃liv.NiH1121.’

39I saidוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559to my masterאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113, ‘Supposeאֻלַ֛י'u.LaiH194the womanהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802does not followתֵלֵ֥ךְ אַחֲרָֽי׃te.Lekh 'a.cha.RaiH1980 H310me.’

40He saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to me, ‘The Lordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068,beforeלְפָנָ֗יוle.fa.NavH6440whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I havewalkedהִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּיhit.ha.Lakh.tiH1980,will sendיִשְׁלַ֨חyish.LachH7971His angelמַלְאָכ֤וֹmal.'a.KhoH4397with you to make your journeyדַּרְכֶּ֔ךָdar.Ke.khaH1870successfulוְהִצְלִ֣יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743,and you will takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֤ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121from my relativesמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתִּ֖יmi.mish.pach.TiH4940and from my father’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseוּמִבֵּ֥יתu.mi.BeitH1004;

41thenאָ֤ז'azH227you will be freeתִּנָּקֶה֙ti.na.KehH5352from my oathמֵאָ֣לָתִ֔יme.'A.la.TiH423,whenכִּ֥יkiH3588you comeתָב֖וֹאta.Vo'H935to my relativesמִשְׁפַּחְתִּ֑יmish.pach.TiH4940;and ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518they do not giveיִתְּנוּ֙yi.te.NuH5414her to you, you will be freeנָקִ֖יna.KiH5355from my oathמֵאָלָתִֽי׃me.'a.la.TiH423.’

43beholdהִנֵּ֛הhi.NehH2009,I am standingנִצָּ֖בni.TzavH5324by thespringH5871,and may it be that the maidenהָֽעַלְמָה֙ha.'al.MahH5959who comesהַיֹּצֵ֣אתhai.yo.TzetH3318out to drawלִשְׁאֹ֔בlish.'OH7579,and to whom I sayוְאָמַרְתִּ֣יve.'a.mar.TiH559, “Pleaseנָ֥אna'H4994let me drinkהַשְׁקִֽינִי־hash.ki.ni-H8248a littleמְעַט־me.'at-H4592waterH4325from your jarמִכַּדֵּֽךְ׃mi.ka.DekhH3537”;

44and she will sayוְאָמְרָ֤הve.'a.me.RahH559to me, “You drinkשְׁתֵ֔הshe.TehH8354,and I will drawאֶשְׁאָ֑ב'esh.'AvH7579for your camelsלִגְמַלֶּ֖יךָlig.ma.Lei.khaH1581alsoH1571”;let her be the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068has appointedהֹכִ֥יחַho.Khi.achH3198for my master’sאֲדֹנִֽי׃'a.do.NiH113sonלְבֶן־le.ven-H1121.’

45“Beforeטֶ֨רֶםTe.remH2962I had finishedאֲכַלֶּ֜ה'a.kha.LehH3615speakingלְדַבֵּ֣רle.da.BerH1696in my heartלִבִּ֗יli.BiH3820,beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,Rebekahרִבְקָ֤הriv.KahH7259cameיֹצֵאת֙yo.tzeTH3318out with her jarוְכַדָּ֣הּve.kha.DahH3537on her shoulderשִׁכְמָ֔הּshikh.MahH7926,and wentH3381downוַתֵּ֥רֶדva.Te.redH3381to the springH5871and drewוַתִּשְׁאָ֑בva.tish.'AvH7579, andI saidוָאֹמַ֥רva.'o.MarH559to her, ‘Pleaseנָֽא׃Na'H4994let me drinkהַשְׁקִ֥ינִיhash.Ki.niH8248.’

46She quicklyוַתְּמַהֵ֗רva.te.ma.HerH4116loweredוַתּ֤וֹרֶדva.To.redH3381her jarכַּדָּהּ֙ka.DahH3537from her shoulder,and saidוַתֹּ֣אמֶרva.To.merH559, ‘Drinkשְׁתֵ֔הshe.TehH8354,and I will waterאַשְׁקֶ֑ה'ash.KehH8248your camelsגְּמַלֶּ֖יךָge.ma.Lei.khaH1581alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571’;so I drankוָאֵ֕שְׁתְּva.'E.shetH8354,and she wateredהִשְׁקָֽתָה׃hish.Ka.tahH8248the camelsהַגְּמַלִּ֖יםha.ge.ma.LimH1581alsoוְגַ֥םve.GamH1571.

47Then I askedוָאֶשְׁאַ֣לva.'esh.'AlH7592her, and saidוָאֹמַר֮va.'o.MarH559, ‘Whoseמִ֣יmiH4310daughterבַּת־bat-H1323are you?’ And she saidוַתֹּ֗אמֶרva.To.merH559, ‘The daughterבַּת־bat-H1323of Bethuelבְּתוּאֵל֙be.tu.'ElH1328,Nahor’sנָח֔וֹרna.ChorH5152sonבֶּן־ben-H1121,whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834Milcahמִלְכָּ֑הmil.KahH4435boreיָֽלְדָה־yal.dah-H3205to him’; and I putוָאָשִׂ֤םva.'a.SimH7760theringהַנֶּ֙זֶם֙ha.Ne.zemH5141on her noseאַפָּ֔הּ'a.PahH639,and the braceletsוְהַצְּמִידִ֖יםve.ha.tze.mi.DimH6781on herwristsיָדֶֽיהָ׃ya.Dei.haH3027.
