34“Iאָנֹֽכִי׃'a.No.khiH595am Abraham’sאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85servantעֶ֥בֶד'E.vedH5650,”he repliedוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559.

35“The LORDוַיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068has greatlyמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966blessedבֵּרַ֧ךְbe.RakhH1288אֶת־'et-H853my masterאֲדֹנִ֛י'a.do.NiH113,and he has become richוַיִּגְדָּ֑לvai.yig.DalH1431.He has givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414himsheepצֹ֤אןtzonH6629and cattleוּבָקָר֙u.va.KarH1241,silverוְכֶ֣סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֔בve.za.HavH2091,menservantsוַעֲבָדִם֙va.'a.va.DimH5650and maidservantsוּשְׁפָחֹ֔תu.she.fa.ChotH8198,camelsוּגְמַלִּ֖יםu.ge.ma.LimH1581and donkeysוַחֲמֹרִֽים׃va.cha.mo.RimH2543.

36My master’sאֲדֹנִ֥י'a.do.NiH113wifeאֵ֨שֶׁת'E.shetH802Sarahשָׂרָה֩sa.RahH8283has borneוַתֵּ֡לֶדva.Te.ledH3205himלַֽאדֹנִ֔יla.do.NiH113a sonבֵן֙venH1121inאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310her old ageזִקְנָתָ֑הּzik.na.TahH2209,and my master has givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414himאֶת־'et-H853everything he ownsכָּל־kol-H3605אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834.

37My masterאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113made me swear an oathוַיַּשְׁבִּעֵ֥נִיvai.yash.bi.'E.niH7650and saidלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559, ‘You shall notלֹא־lo'-H3808takeתִקַּ֤חti.KachH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121from the daughtersמִבְּנוֹת֙mi.be.noTH1323of the Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834in whose landבְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃be.'ar.TzoH776Iאָנֹכִ֖י'a.no.KhiH595dwellיֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427,

38butאִם־ לֹ֧א'im- lo'H518 H3808you shall goתֵּלֵ֖ךְte.LekhH1980toאֶל־'el-H413my father’sאָבִ֛י'a.ViH1houseבֵּית־beit-H1004and toוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413my kindredמִשְׁפַּחְתִּ֑יmish.pach.TiH4940to takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁ֖ה'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִֽי׃liv.NiH1121.’

39Then I askedוָאֹמַ֖ר אֶל־va.'o.Mar 'el-H559 H413my masterאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113, ‘What ifאֻלַ֛י'u.LaiH194the womanהָאִשָּׁ֖הha.'i.ShahH802will notלֹא־lo'-H3808comeתֵלֵ֥ךְte.LekhH1980back with meאַחֲרָֽי׃'a.cha.RaiH310?’

40And he toldוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559meאֵלָ֑י'e.LaiH413, ‘The LORDיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068,beforeלְפָנָ֗יוle.fa.NavH6440whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I have walkedהִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּיhit.ha.Lakh.tiH1980,will sendיִשְׁלַ֨חyish.LachH7971His angelמַלְאָכ֤וֹmal.'a.KhoH4397with youאִתָּךְ֙'i.toKhH854and make your journeyדַּרְכֶּ֔ךָdar.Ke.khaH1870a successוְהִצְלִ֣יחַve.hitz.Li.achH6743,so that you may takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֤ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121from my kindredמִמִּשְׁפַּחְתִּ֖יmi.mish.pach.TiH4940and from my father’sאָבִֽי׃'a.ViH1houseוּמִבֵּ֥יתu.mi.BeitH1004.

41And whenכִּ֥יkiH3588you goתָב֖וֹאta.Vo'H935toאֶל־'el-H413my kindredמִשְׁפַּחְתִּ֑יmish.pach.TiH4940תִּנָּקֶה֙ti.na.KehH5352מֵאָ֣לָתִ֔יme.'A.la.TiH423,ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518they refuse toלֹ֤אlo'H3808give herיִתְּנוּ֙yi.te.NuH5414to you,thenאָ֤ז'azH227you will beוְהָיִ֥יתָve.ha.Yi.taH1961releasedנָקִ֖יna.KiH5355from my oathמֵאָלָתִֽי׃me.'a.la.TiH423.’
