3and I will make you swearוְאַשְׁבִּ֣יעֲךָ֔ve.'ash.Bi.'a.khaH7650by the Lordבַּֽיהוָה֙ba.Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and the Godוֵֽאלֹהֵ֖יve.lo.HeiH430of earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776, that youshall not takeתִקַּ֤חti.KachH3947a wifeאִשָּׁה֙'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֔יliv.NiH1121from the daughtersמִבְּנוֹת֙mi.be.noTH1323ofthe Canaanitesהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔יha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,amongבְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃be.kir.BoH7130whomH834I liveיוֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427,
5The servantהָעֶ֔בֶדha.'E.vedH5650saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to him, “Supposeאוּלַי֙'u.LaiH194the womanהָֽאִשָּׁ֔הha.'i.ShahH802is not willingתֹאבֶ֣הto.VehH14to followלָלֶ֥כֶת אַחֲרַ֖יla.Le.khet 'a.cha.RaiH1980H310me to thisH2088landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776;should I takeהֶֽהָשֵׁ֤בhe.ha.ShevH7725your sonבִּנְךָ֔bin.KhaH1121backאָשִׁיב֙'a.ShivH7725to the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776from whereאֲשֶׁר־ מִשָּֽׁם׃'a.Sher- mi.ShamH834H8033you cameיָצָ֥אתָya.Tza.taH3318?”
7The Lordיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,whoאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834tookלְקָחַ֜נִיle.ka.Cha.niH3947me from my father’sאָבִי֮'a.ViH1houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004and from the landוּמֵאֶ֣רֶץu.me.'E.retzH776of my birthמֽוֹלַדְתִּי֒mo.lad.TiH4138,and whoוַאֲשֶׁ֨רva.'a.SherH834spokeדִּבֶּר־di.ber-H1696to me and whoוַאֲשֶׁ֤רva.'a.SherH834sworeנִֽשְׁבַּֽע־nish.ba'-H7650to me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, ‘To yourdescendantsלְזַ֨רְעֲךָ֔le.Zar.'a.khaH2233I will giveאֶתֵּ֖ן'e.TenH5414thisH2088landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,’He will sendיִשְׁלַ֤חyish.LachH7971His angelמַלְאָכוֹ֙mal.'a.KhoH4397beforeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440you, and you will takeוְלָקַחְתָּ֥ve.la.kach.TaH3947a wifeאִשָּׁ֛ה'i.ShahH802for my sonלִבְנִ֖יliv.NiH1121from thereמִשָּֽׁם׃mi.ShamH8033.
8But ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518the womanהָֽאִשָּׁה֙ha.'i.ShahH802is not willingתֹאבֶ֤הto.VehH14to followלָלֶ֣כֶת אַחֲרֶ֔יךָla.Le.khet 'a.cha.Rei.khaH1980H310you, then you willbe freeוְנִקִּ֕יתָve.ni.Ki.taH5352from thisH2088my oathמִשְּׁבֻעָתִ֖יmi.she.vu.'a.TiH7621;onlyH7534do not takeH7725my sonבְּנִ֔יbe.NiH1121backתָשֵׁ֖בta.ShevH7725thereשָֽׁמָּה׃Sha.mahH8033.”
9So the servantהָעֶ֙בֶד֙ha.'E.vedH5650placedוַיָּ֤שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760his handיָד֔וֹya.DoH3027underתַּ֛חַתTa.chatH8478the thighיֶ֥רֶךְYe.rekhH3409of Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85his masterאֲדֹנָ֑יו'a.do.NavH113,and sworeוַיִּשָּׁ֣בַֽעvai.yi.Sha.va'H7650to him concerningעַל־'al-H5921thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088matterהַדָּבָ֖רha.da.VarH1697.
10Then the servantהָ֠עֶבֶדHa.'e.vedH5650tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947tenעֲשָׂרָ֨ה'a.sa.RahH6235camelsגְמַלִּ֜יםge.ma.LimH1581from the camelsמִגְּמַלֵּ֤יmi.ge.ma.LeiH1581of his masterאֲדֹנָיו֙'a.do.NavH113,and setוַיֵּ֔לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980out with a varietyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605ofgoodט֥וּבtuvH2898thingsH2898of his master’sאֲדֹנָ֖יו'a.do.NavH113in his handבְּיָד֑וֹbe.ya.DoH3027;and he aroseוַיָּ֗קָםvai.Ya.komH6965and wentוַיֵּ֛לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980toMesopotamiaH763, tothe cityעִ֥יר'irH5892of Nahorנָחֽוֹר׃na.ChorH5152.
11He made the camelsהַגְּמַלִּ֛יםha.ge.ma.LimH1581kneelH1288downH1288outsideמִח֥וּץmi.ChutzH4480H2351the cityלָעִ֖ירla.'IrH5892bythe wellבְּאֵ֣רbe.'ErH875of waterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325at eveningעֶ֔רֶב'E.revH6153timeלְעֵ֣תle.'EtH6256,the timeלְעֵ֖תle.'EtH6256when women goצֵ֥אתtzetH3318out to drawהַשֹּׁאֲבֹֽת׃ha.sho.'a.VotH7579waterH7579.
