Zephaniah 1:1-6
The wordH1697 of Jehovah that came unto ZephaniahH6846 the sonH1121 of Cushi, the sonH1121 of GedaliahH1436, the sonH1121 of AmariahH568, the sonH1121 of HezekiahH2396, in the daysH3117 of JosiahH2977 the sonH1121 of AmonH526, kingH4428 of JudahH3063.
I will utterly take away everythingH3605 from off the faceH6440 of the groundH127, saith Jehovah:
I will take away manH120 and beast; I will take away the fowl of the heavensH8064 and the fishes of the seaH3220, and the stumbling-blocks with the wickedH7563, and I will cutH3772 off mankind from off the faceH6440 of the groundH127, saith Jehovah.
And I will stretchH5186 forth my handH3027 upon JudahH3063, and upon all the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389; and I will cutH3772 off the remnantH7605 of BaalH1168 from this placeH4725, the nameH8034 of the Chemarim with the priestsH3548;
and them that bowH7812 downH7812 to the hostH6635 of the heavensH8064 upon the housetops; and them that bowH7812 downH7812 to Jehovah, that swearH7650 by [him], and swearH7650 by Malcham;
and them that turnH5472 back from after Jehovah, and that do not seekH1245 Jehovah, nor inquire for him.
