Ruth 4:6-13
And he that had the rightH1353 of redemptionH1353 saidH559, I cannot redeemH1350 [it] for myself, lestH6435 I mar mine own inheritanceH5159. RedeemH1350 thou for thyself what I should redeemH1350, for I cannot redeemH1350 [it].
Now this [was the custom] in former time in IsraelH3478 concerning redemptionH1353 and concerning exchange, to confirm the whole matterH1697: a manH376 drewH8025 off his sandalH5275, and gaveH5414 it to his neighbour, and this was the [mode of] attestation in IsraelH3478.
And he that had the right of redemption saidH559 to BoazH1162, BuyH7069 for thyself; and he drewH8025 off his sandalH5275.
And BoazH1162 saidH559 to the eldersH2205 and all the peopleH5971, Ye are witnessesH5707 this dayH3117, that I have boughtH7069 all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the handH3027 of NaomiH5281;
moreover RuthH7327 the Moabitess, the wifeH802 of MahlonH4248, have I purchased to be my wifeH802, to raiseH6965 up the nameH8034 of the deadH4191 upon his inheritanceH5159, that the nameH8034 of the deadH4191 be not cutH3772 off from among his brethren and from the gateH8179 of his placeH4725: ye are witnessesH5707 this dayH3117.
And all the peopleH5971 that were in the gateH8179 and the eldersH2205 saidH559, [We are] witnessesH5707. Jehovah makeH5414 the womanH802 that cometh into thy houseH1004 like RachelH7354 and like LeahH3812, which twoH8147 did buildH1129 the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; and acquire power in Ephratah, and makeH5414 thyself a nameH8034 in Bethlehem;
and let thy houseH1004 becomeH1961 like the houseH1004 of Pherez, whom TamarH8559 boreH3205 to JudahH3063, of the seedH2233 which Jehovah shall giveH5414 thee of this youngH5291 womanH5291.
And BoazH1162 tookH3947 RuthH7327, and she became his wifeH802; and he wentH935 in unto her, and Jehovah gaveH5414 her conceptionH2032, and she boreH3205 a sonH1121.
