Ruth 4:3-9
And he saidH559 to him that had the right of redemption: NaomiH5281, who is come backH7725 out of the countryH7704 of MoabH4124, sellsH4376 the allotment that was our brotherH251 Elimelech's.
And I thought I would apprise thee of it and sayH559, BuyH7069 [it] in the presence of the inhabitantsH3427, and in the presence of the eldersH2205 of my peopleH5971. If thou wilt redeemH1350 [it], redeemH1350; but if thou wilt not redeemH1350, tellH5046 me, that I may knowH3045; for there is none to redeemH1350 besides thee; and I am after thee. And he saidH559, I will redeemH1350 [it].
And BoazH1162 saidH559, On the dayH3117 thou buyest the fieldH7704 of the handH3027 of NaomiH5281, thou must buyH7069 [it] also of RuthH7327 the Moabitess, the wifeH802 of the deadH4191, to raiseH6965 up the nameH8034 of the deadH4191 upon his inheritanceH5159.
And he that had the rightH1353 of redemptionH1353 saidH559, I cannot redeemH1350 [it] for myself, lestH6435 I mar mine own inheritanceH5159. RedeemH1350 thou for thyself what I should redeemH1350, for I cannot redeemH1350 [it].
Now this [was the custom] in former time in IsraelH3478 concerning redemptionH1353 and concerning exchange, to confirm the whole matterH1697: a manH376 drewH8025 off his sandalH5275, and gaveH5414 it to his neighbour, and this was the [mode of] attestation in IsraelH3478.
And he that had the right of redemption saidH559 to BoazH1162, BuyH7069 for thyself; and he drewH8025 off his sandalH5275.
And BoazH1162 saidH559 to the eldersH2205 and all the peopleH5971, Ye are witnessesH5707 this dayH3117, that I have boughtH7069 all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the handH3027 of NaomiH5281;
