Haggai 2:10-23
10On the fourH702 and twentieth [day] of the ninthH8671 [month], in the second yearH8141 of DariusH1867, came the wordH1697 of Jehovah by HaggaiH2292 the prophetH5030, sayingH559, 11ThusH3541 saith Jehovah of hostsH6635: AskH7592 now the priestsH3548 [concerning] the lawH8451, sayingH559, 12If oneH376 bearH5375 holyH6944 fleshH1320 in the skirtH3671 of his garmentH899, and with his skirtH3671 do touchH5060 breadH3899, or pottage, or wineH3196, or oilH8081, or any foodH3899 — shall it become holyH6944? And the priestsH3548 answered and saidH559, No. 13And HaggaiH2292 saidH559, If one that is uncleanH2931 by a dead body touchH5060 any of these, is it becomeH2930 uncleanH2931? And the priestsH3548 answered and saidH559, It shall be uncleanH2931. 14Then answered HaggaiH2292 and saidH559, SoH3651 is this peopleH5971, and soH3651 is this nationH1471 before me, saith Jehovah, and soH3651 is every workH4639 of their handsH3027; and that which they offer there is uncleanH2931. 15And nowH6258, I pray you, consider from this dayH3117 and onward, from before a stoneH68 was laid upon a stoneH68 in the templeH1964 of Jehovah, 16— before those [days] wereH1961, when one cameH935 to a heapH6194 of twentyH6242 [measures], there wereH1961 but tenH6235; when one cameH935 to the vat to draw out fiftyH2572 press-measures, there wereH1961 but twentyH6242. 17I smote you with blasting and with mildewH3420 and with hailH1259 in all the workH4639 of your handsH3027; and ye [turned] not to me, saith Jehovah. 18Consider, I pray you, from this dayH3117 and onward, from the fourH702 and twentieth dayH3117 of the ninthH8671 [month], from the dayH3117 that the foundation of Jehovah's templeH1964 was laid, consider [it]. 19Is the seedH2233 yetH5750 in the barn? yea, the vineH1612, and the fig-tree, and the pomegranateH7416, and the olive-tree have not brought forth: from this dayH3117 will I blessH1288 [you]. 20And the wordH1697 of Jehovah came the secondH8145 timeH8145 unto HaggaiH2292 on the fourH702 and twentieth [day] of the monthH2320, sayingH559, 21Speak to ZerubbabelH2216, governorH6346 of JudahH3063, sayingH559, I will shakeH7493 the heavensH8064 and the earthH776; 22and I will overthrowH2015 the throneH3678 of kingdomsH4467, and I will destroyH8045 the strengthH2392 of the kingdomsH4467 of the nationsH1471; and I will overthrowH2015 the chariotsH4818, and those that rideH7392 therein; and the horsesH5483 and their ridersH7392 shall comeH3381 downH3381, every oneH376 by the swordH2719 of his brotherH251. 23In that dayH3117, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, will I takeH3947 thee, ZerubbabelH2216 sonH1121 of ShealtielH7597, my servantH5650, saith Jehovah, and will makeH7760 thee as a signet; for I have chosenH977 thee, saith Jehovah of hostsH6635.
