2Wailהֵילֵ֤לhei.LelH3213,O cypressבְּרוֹשׁ֙be.ro.VoshH1265,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588the cedarאֶ֔רֶז'E.rezH730אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834has fallenנָ֣פַלNa.falH5307;the majesticאַדִּרִ֖ים'a.di.RimH117treesare ruinedשֻׁדָּ֑דוּshu.Da.duH7703!Wailהֵילִ֙ילוּ֙hei.Li.luH3213,O oaksאַלּוֹנֵ֣י'a.lo.NeiH437of Bashanבָשָׁ֔ןva.ShanH1316,forכִּ֥יkiH3588the denseH1208forestיַ֥עַרYa.'arH3293has been cut downיָרַ֖דya.RadH3381!

3Listen toק֚וֹלKolH6963the wailingיִֽלְלַ֣תyi.LatH3215of the shepherdsהָרֹעִ֔יםha.ro.'ImH7462,forכִּ֥יkiH3588their gloryאַדַּרְתָּ֑ם ק֚וֹל'a.dar.Tam KolH155 H6963is in ruinsשֻׁדְּדָ֖הshu.de.DahH7703.Listen to the roaringשַׁאֲגַ֣תsha.'a.GatH7581of the young lionsכְּפִירִ֔יםke.fi.RimH3715,forכִּ֥יkiH3588the thicketsגְּא֥וֹןge.'onH1347of the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּֽן׃ סhai.yar.DenH3383are destroyedשֻׁדַּ֖דshu.DadH7703.

4This is whatכֹּ֥הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָ֑י'e.lo.HaiH430saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559: “Pastureרְעֵ֖הre.'EhH7462אֶת־'et-H853the flockצֹ֥אןtzonH6629markedfor slaughterהַהֲרֵגָֽה׃ha.ha.re.GahH2028,

5whoseאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834buyersקֹנֵיהֶ֤ןko.nei.HenH7069slaughter themיַֽהֲרְגֻן֙ya.har.GunH2026withoutוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808remorseיֶאְשָׁ֔מוּye'.Sha.muH816.Those who sell themוּמֹכְרֵיהֶ֣ןu.mo.khe.rei.HenH4376sayיֹאמַ֔רyo.MarH559, ‘Blessed beבָּר֥וּךְba.RukhH1288the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,for I am richוַאעְשִׁ֑רva'.ShirH6238!’Even their own shepherdsוְרֹ֣עֵיהֶ֔םve.Ro.'ei.HemH7462have noלֹ֥אlo'H3808compassionיַחְמ֖וֹלyach.MolH2550on themעֲלֵיהֶֽן׃'a.lei.HenH5921.

6Forכִּ֠יkiH3588I will noלֹ֣אlo'H3808longerע֛וֹדodH5750have compassionאֶחְמ֥וֹל'ech.MolH2550onעַל־'al-H5921the peopleיֹשְׁבֵ֥יyo.she.VeiH3427of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,but beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,Iאָנֹכִ֜י'a.no.KhiH595will cause eachאִ֤ישׁ'ishH376manהָאָדָ֗םha.'a.DamH120to fallמַמְצִ֣יאmam.Tzi'H4672אֶת־'et-H853into the handsבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of his neighborרֵעֵ֙הוּ֙re.'E.huH7453andוּבְיַ֣דu.ve.YadH3027his kingמַלְכּ֔וֹmal.KoH4428,who will devastateוְכִתְּתוּ֙ve.khi.te.TuH3807אֶת־'et-H853the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and I will notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808deliver itאַצִּ֖יל'a.TzilH5337from their handsמִיָּדָֽם׃mi.ya.DamH3027.”

7So I pasturedוָֽאֶרְעֶה֙va.'er.'EhH7462אֶת־'et-H853the flockצֹ֣אןtzonH6629marked for slaughterהַֽהֲרֵגָ֔הha.ha.re.GahH2028,especiallyלָכֵ֖ןla.KhenH3651the afflictedעֲנִיֵּ֣י'a.ni.YeiH6041of the flockהַצֹּ֑אןha.TzonH6629.Then I tookוָאֶקַּֽח־va.'e.kach-H3947for myselftwoשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8147staffsמַקְל֗וֹתmak.LotH4731,callingקָרָ֤אתִיka.Ra.tiH7121oneלְאַחַ֞דle.'a.ChadH259Favorנֹ֙עַם֙no.'amH5278and the otherוּלְאַחַד֙ קָרָ֣אתִיu.le.'a.Chad ka.Ra.tiH259 H7121Unionחֹֽבְלִ֔יםchoe.LimH2256,and I pasturedוָאֶרְעֶ֖הva.'er.'EhH7462אֶת־'et-H853the flockהַצֹּֽאן׃ha.TzonH6629.

8And in oneאֶחָ֑ד'e.ChadH259monthבְּיֶ֣רַחbe.Ye.rachH3391I dismissedוָאַכְחִ֛דva.'akh.ChidH3582אֶת־'et-H853threeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969shepherdsהָרֹעִ֖יםha.ro.'ImH7462.My soulנַפְשִׁי֙naf.ShiH5315grew impatientוַתִּקְצַ֤רva.tik.TzarH7114with the flock,and their soulsנַפְשָׁ֖םnaf.ShamH5315alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571detestedבָּחֲלָ֥הba.cha.LahH973me.

9Then I saidוָאֹמַ֕רva.'o.MarH559, “I will no longerלֹ֥אlo'H3808shepherd youאֶרְעֶ֖ה'er.'EhH7462אֶתְכֶ֑ם'et.KhemH853.Let the dyingהַמֵּתָ֣הha.me.TahH4191dieתָמ֗וּתta.MutH4191,and the perishingוְהַנִּכְחֶ֙דֶת֙ve.han.nikh.Che.detH3582perishתִּכָּחֵ֔דti.ka.ChedH3582;and let those who remainוְהַ֨נִּשְׁאָר֔וֹתve.Ha.nish.'a.RotH7604devourתֹּאכַ֕לְנָהto.Khal.nahH398oneאִשָּׁ֖ה'i.ShahH802אֶת־'et-H853another’sרְעוּתָֽהּ׃re.'u.TahH7468fleshבְּשַׂ֥רbe.SarH1320.”

10Next I tookוָאֶקַּ֤חva.'e.KachH3947אֶת־'et-H853my staffמַקְלִי֙mak.LiH4731אֶת־'et-H853called Favorנֹ֔עַםNo.'amH5278and cut it in twoוָאֶגְדַּ֖עva.'eg.Da'H1438,אֹת֑וֹ'o.ToH853revokingלְהָפֵיר֙le.ha.FeirH6565אֶת־'et-H853the covenantבְּרִיתִ֔יbe.ri.TiH1285אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I had madeכָּרַ֖תִּיka.Ra.tiH3772withאֶת־'et-H854allכָּל־kol-H3605the nationsהָעַמִּֽים׃ha.'a.MimH5971.

11It was revokedוַתֻּפַ֖רva.tu.FarH6565on thatהַה֑וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117,and soכֵ֜ןkhenH3651the afflictedעֲנִיֵּ֤י'a.ni.YeiH6041of the flockהַצֹּאן֙ha.tzoNH6629who were watchingהַשֹּׁמְרִ֣יםha.sho.me.RimH8104meאֹתִ֔י'o.TiH853knewוַיֵּדְע֨וּvai.ye.de.'UH3045thatכִּ֥יkiH3588itהֽוּא׃Hu'H1931was the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

12Then I toldוָאֹמַ֣רva.'o.MarH559themאֲלֵיהֶ֗ם'a.lei.HemH413, “Ifאִם־'im-H518it seemsבְּעֵינֵיכֶ֛םbe.'ei.nei.KhemH5869right to youH2896,give meהָב֥וּha.VuH3051my wagesשְׂכָרִ֖יse.kha.RiH7939;but ifוְאִם־ve.'im-H518notלֹ֣א׀lo'H3808,keep themחֲדָ֑לוּcha.Da.luH2308.”So they weighed outוַיִּשְׁקְל֥וּvai.yish.ke.LuH8254אֶת־'et-H853my wagesשְׂכָרִ֖יse.kha.RiH7939,thirtyשְׁלֹשִׁ֥יםshe.lo.ShimH7970piecesof silverכָּֽסֶף׃Ka.sefH3701.

13And the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלַ֗י'e.LaiH413, “Throwהַשְׁלִיכֵ֙הוּ֙hash.li.Khe.huH7993it toאֶל־'el-H413the potterהַיּוֹצֵ֔רhai.yo.TzerH3335”—this magnificentאֶ֣דֶר'E.derH145priceהַיְקָ֔רhay.KarH3366at whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they valued meיָקַ֖רְתִּי מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֑םya.Kar.ti me.'a.lei.HemH3365 H5921.So I tookוָֽאֶקְחָה֙va.'ek.ChahH3947the thirtyשְׁלֹשִׁ֣יםshe.lo.ShimH7970pieces of silverהַכֶּ֔סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701and threwוָאַשְׁלִ֥יךְva.'ash.LikhH7993themאֹת֛וֹ'o.ToH853toאֶל־'el-H413the potterהַיּוֹצֵֽר׃hai.yo.TzerH3335in the houseבֵּ֥יתbeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

14Then I cut in twoוָֽאֶגְדַּע֙va.'eg.Da'H1438אֶת־'et-H853my secondהַשֵּׁנִ֔יha.she.NiH8145אֵ֖ת'etH853staffמַקְלִ֣יmak.LiH4731calledUnionהַחֹֽבְלִ֑יםha.choe.LimH2256,breakingלְהָפֵר֙le.ha.FerH6565אֶת־'et-H853the brotherhoodהָֽאַחֲוָ֔הha.'a.cha.VahH264betweenבֵּ֥יןbeinH996Judahיְהוּדָ֖ה וּבֵ֥יןye.hu.Dah u.VeinH3063 H996and Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

15And the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to meאֵלָ֑י'e.LaiH413: “Take upקַח־kach-H3947once moreע֣וֹדodH5750the equipmentכְּלִ֖יke.LiH3627of a foolishאֱוִלִֽי׃'e.vi.LiH196shepherdרֹעֶ֥הro.'EhH7462.

16Forכִּ֣יkiH3588beholdהִנֵּֽה־hi.neh-H2009,Iאָנֹכִי֩'a.no.KhiH595will raise upמֵקִ֨יםme.KimH6965a shepherdרֹעֶ֜הro.'EhH7462in the landבָּאָ֗רֶץba.'A.retzH776who will neitherלֹֽא־lo'-H3808care forיִפְקֹד֙yif.KodH6485the lostהַנִּכְחָד֤וֹתha.nikh.cha.DotH3582,norלֹֽא־lo'-H3808seekיְבַקֵּ֔שׁye.va.KeshH1245the youngהַנַּ֣עַרha.Na.'arH5289,nor healיְרַפֵּ֑אye.ra.Pe'H7495the brokenוְהַנִּשְׁבֶּ֖רֶתve.ha.nish.Be.retH7665,norלֹ֣אlo'H3808sustainיְכַלְכֵּ֔לye.khal.KelH3557the healthyהַנִּצָּבָה֙ לֹ֣אha.ni.tza.Vah lo'H5324 H3808,but he will devourיֹאכַ֔לyo.KhalH398the fleshוּבְשַׂ֤רu.ve.SarH1320of the choiceהַבְּרִיאָה֙ha.be.ri.'AhH1277sheepand tear offיְפָרֵֽק׃ סye.fa.RekH6561their hoovesוּפַרְסֵיהֶ֖ןu.far.sei.HenH6541.
