22He moved onוַיַּעְתֵּ֣קvai.ya'.TekH6275from thereמִשָּׁ֗םmi.ShamH8033and dugוַיַּחְפֹּר֙ בְּאֵ֣רvai.yach.Por be.'ErH2658H875anotherאַחֶ֔רֶת'a.Che.retH312well,and they did notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808quarrelרָב֖וּra.VuH7378over itעָלֶ֑יהָ'a.Lei.haH5921.He namedוַיִּקְרָ֤אvai.yik.Ra'H7121itשְׁמָהּ֙she.MahH8034Rehobothרְחֹב֔וֹתre.cho.VotH7344and saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “At lastכִּֽי־ עַתָּ֞הki- 'a.TahH3588H6258the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068has made roomהִרְחִ֧יבhir.ChivH7337for us,and we will be fruitfulוּפָרִ֥ינוּu.fa.Ri.nuH6509in the landבָאָֽרֶץ׃va.'A.retzH776.”
24and thatהַה֔וּאha.Hu'H1931nightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068appearedוַיֵּרָ֨אvai.ye.Ra'H7200to himאֵלָ֤יו'e.LavH413and saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Iאָנֹכִ֕י'a.no.KhiH595am the Godאֱלֹהֵ֖י'e.lo.HeiH430of your fatherאָבִ֑יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֣ם'av.ra.HamH85.Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָא֙ti.Ra'H3372,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588Iאָנֹ֔כִי'a.No.khiH595am with youאִתְּךָ֣'i.te.KhaH854.I will blessוּבֵֽרַכְתִּ֙יךָ֙u.ve.rakh.Ti.khaH1288you and multiplyוְהִרְבֵּיתִ֣יve.hir.bei.TiH7235אֶֽת־'et-H853your descendantsזַרְעֲךָ֔zar.'a.KhaH2233for the sakeבַּעֲב֖וּרba.'a.VurH5668of My servantעַבְדִּֽי׃'av.DiH5650Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֥ם'av.ra.HamH85.”
25So Isaac builtוַיִּ֧בֶןvai.Yi.venH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֗חַmiz.Be.achH4196thereשָׁ֣םshamH8033and calledוַיִּקְרָא֙vai.yik.Ra'H7121on the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,and he pitchedוַיֶּט־vai.yet-H5186his tentאָהֳל֑וֹ'o.ho.LoH168thereשָׁ֖םshamH8033. Hisיִצְחָ֖קyitz.ChakH3327servantsעַבְדֵי־'av.dei-H5650also dugוַיִּכְרוּ־vai.yikh.ru-H3738a wellבְּאֵֽר׃be.'ErH875thereשָׁ֥םshamH8033.
26Later, Abimelechוַאֲבִימֶ֕לֶךְva.'a.vi.Me.lekhH40cameהָלַ֥ךְha.LakhH1980toאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413Isaacfrom Gerarמִגְּרָ֑רmi.ge.RarH1642,with Ahuzzathוַאֲחֻזַּת֙va.'a.chu.ZatH276his adviserמֵֽרֵעֵ֔הוּme.re.'E.huH4828and Phicolוּפִיכֹ֖לu.fi.KholH6369the commanderשַׂר־sar-H8269of his armyצְבָאֽוֹ׃tze.va.'OH6635.
27“Whyמַדּ֖וּעַma.Du.a'H4069have you comeבָּאתֶ֣םba.TemH935to meאֲלֵהֶם֙'a.le.HemH413?”Isaacיִצְחָ֔קyitz.ChakH3327askedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559themאֵלָ֑י'e.LaiH413. “Youוְאַתֶּם֙ve.'a.TemH859hatedשְׂנֵאתֶ֣םse.ne.TemH8130meאֹתִ֔י'o.TiH853and sent me awayוַתְּשַׁלְּח֖וּנִי מֵאִתְּכֶֽם׃va.te.sha.le.Chu.ni me.'i.te.KhemH7971H854.”
28“We can plainly seeH7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588the LORDיְהוָ֣ה׀Yah.wehH3068has beenהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961with youעִמָּךְ֒'i.moKhH5973,”they repliedוַיֹּאמְר֗וּvai.yo.me.RuH559. “We recommend thatוַנֹּ֗אמֶרva.No.merH559there should now beתְּהִ֨י נָ֥אte.Hi na'H1961H4994an oathאָלָ֛ה'a.LahH423betweenבֵּינוֹתֵ֖ינוּbei.no.Tei.nuH996usבֵּינֵ֣ינוּbei.Nei.nuH996and youוּבֵינֶ֑ךָu.vei.Ne.khaH996.Let us makeוְנִכְרְתָ֥הve.nikh.re.TahH3772a covenantבְרִ֖יתve.RitH1285with youעִמָּֽךְ׃'i.MakhH5973
29that you will notאִם־'im-H518תַּעֲשֵׂ֨הta.'a.SehH6213harmרָעָ֗הra.'AhH7451usעִמָּ֜נוּ'i.Ma.nuH5973,just asכַּאֲשֶׁר֙ka.'a.SherH834we have notלֹ֣אlo'H3808harmed youנְגַֽעֲנ֔וּךָne.ga.'a.Nu.khaH5060butוְכַאֲשֶׁ֨רve.kha.'a.SherH834have doneעָשִׂ֤ינוּ'a.Si.nuH6213onlyרַק־rak-H7535goodט֔וֹבTovH2896to youעִמְּךָ֙'i.me.KhaH5973,sending you on your wayוַנְּשַׁלֵּֽחֲךָ֖va.ne.sha.le.cha.KhaH7971in peaceבְּשָׁל֑וֹםbe.sha.LomH7965.And nowעַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH6258youאַתָּ֥ה'a.TahH859are blessedבְּר֥וּךְbe.RukhH1288by the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”
31And they got up earlyוַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּvai.yash.Ki.muH7925the next morningבַבֹּ֔קֶרva.Bo.kerH1242and swore an oathוַיִּשָּׁבְע֖וּvai.yi.sha.ve.'UH7650to eachאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376otherלְאָחִ֑יוle.'a.ChivH251.Then Isaacיִצְחָ֔קyitz.ChakH3327sent them on their wayוַיְשַׁלְּחֵ֣םvay.sha.le.ChemH7971,and they left himוַיֵּלְכ֥וּ מֵאִתּ֖וֹvai.ye.le.Khu me.'i.ToH1980H854in peaceבְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃be.sha.LomH7965.
