6“Is he wellהֲשָׁל֣וֹםha.sha.LomH7965?”Jacob inquiredוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559. “Yesשָׁל֔וֹםsha.LomH7965,”they answeredוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.me.RuH559, “and hereוְהִנֵּה֙ve.hi.NehH2009comesבָּאָ֖הba.'AhH935his daughterבִּתּ֔וֹbi.ToH1323Rachelרָחֵ֣לra.ChelH7354withעִם־'im-H5973his sheepהַצֹּֽאן׃ha.TzonH6629.”
7“Lookהֵ֥ןhenH2005,”said Jacobוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “it is stillעוֹד֙'OdH5750broadגָּד֔וֹלga.DolH1419daylightהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117;it is not yetלֹא־lo'-H3808timeעֵ֖ת'etH6256to gatherהֵאָסֵ֣ףhe.'a.SefH622the livestockהַמִּקְנֶ֑הha.mik.NehH4735.Waterהַשְׁק֥וּhash.KuH8248the sheepהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629and take them backוּלְכ֥וּu.le.KhuH1980to pastureרְעֽוּ׃re.'UH7462.”

Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel

14Then Labanלָבָ֔ןla.VanH3837declaredוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “You areאָ֑תָּה'A.tahH859indeedאַ֛ךְ'akhH389my own fleshוּבְשָׂרִ֖יu.ve.sa.RiH1320and bloodעַצְמִ֥י'atz.MiH6106.”After Jacob had stayedוַיֵּ֥שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427with himעִמּ֖וֹi.MoH5973a monthחֹ֥דֶשׁ יָמִֽים׃Cho.desh ya.MimH2320H3117,

16Now Labanוּלְלָבָ֖ןu.le.la.VanH3837had twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147daughtersבָנ֑וֹתva.NotH1323;the olderהַגְּדֹלָה֙ha.ge.do.LahH1419was namedשֵׁ֤םshemH8034Leahלֵאָ֔הle.'AhH3812,and the youngerהַקְּטַנָּ֖הha.ke.ta.NahH6996was namedוְשֵׁ֥םve.ShemH8034Rachelרָחֵֽל׃ra.ChelH7354.
17Leahלֵאָ֖הle.'AhH3812had weakרַכּ֑וֹתra.KotH7390eyesוְעֵינֵ֥יve.'ei.NeiH5869,but Rachelוְרָחֵל֙ve.ra.ChelH7354wasהָֽיְתָ֔הha.ye.TahH1961shapelyיְפַת־ תֹּ֖אַרye.fat- To.'arH3303H8389and beautifulוִיפַ֥ת מַרְאֶֽה׃vi.Fat mar.'EhH3303H4758.

20So Jacobיַעֲקֹ֛בya.'a.KoH3290servedוַיַּעֲבֹ֧דvai.ya.'a.VodH5647sevenשֶׁ֣בַעShe.va'H7651yearsשָׁנִ֑יםsha.NimH8141for Rachelבְּרָחֵ֖לbe.ra.ChelH7354,yet it seemedוַיִּהְי֤וּvai.yih.YuH1961בְעֵינָיו֙ve.'ei.NavH5869buta fewאֲחָדִ֔ים'a.cha.DimH259daysכְּיָמִ֣יםke.ya.MimH3117because of his loveבְּאַהֲבָת֖וֹbe.'a.ha.va.ToH160for herאֹתָֽהּ׃'o.TahH853.
21Finally Jacobיַעֲקֹ֤בya.'a.KoH3290saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Labanלָבָן֙la.VanH3837, “Grantהָבָ֣הha.VahH3051meאֶת־'et-H853my wifeאִשְׁתִּ֔י'ish.TiH802,forכִּ֥יkiH3588my timeיָמָ֑יya.MaiH3117is completeמָלְא֖וּmal.'UH4390,and I want to sleep withוְאָב֖וֹאָהve.'a.Vo.'ahH935herאֵלֶֽיהָ׃'e.Lei.haH413.”
22וַיֶּאֱסֹ֥ףvai.ye.'e.SofH622So Labanלָבָ֛ןla.VanH3837אֶת־'et-H853invited allכָּל־kol-H3605the menאַנְשֵׁ֥י'an.SheiH582of that placeהַמָּק֖וֹםha.ma.KomH4725and preparedוַיַּ֥עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a feastמִשְׁתֶּֽה׃mish.TehH4960.
23But whenוַיְהִ֣יvay.HiH1961evening cameבָעֶ֔רֶבva.'E.revH6153,Laban tookוַיִּקַּח֙vai.yi.KachH3947אֶת־'et-H853his daughterבִתּ֔וֹvi.ToH1323Leahלֵאָ֣הle.'AhH3812and gaveוַיָּבֵ֥אvai.ya.Ve'H935herאֹתָ֖הּ'o.TahH853to Jacobאֵלָ֑יו'e.LavH413,and he slept withוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935herאֵלֶֽיהָ׃'e.Lei.haH413.
24And Labanלָבָן֙la.VanH3837אֶת־'et-H853gaveוַיִּתֵּ֤ןvai.yi.TenH5414his servant girlשִׁפְחָת֑וֹshif.cha.ToH8198Zilpahזִלְפָּ֖הzil.PahH2153to his daughterבִתּ֖וֹvi.ToH1323Leahלְלֵאָ֥הle.le.'AhH3812as her maidservantשִׁפְחָֽה׃shif.ChahH8198.

31When the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068sawוַיַּ֤רְאvai.Yar'H7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Leahלֵאָ֔הle.'AhH3812was unlovedשְׂנוּאָ֣הse.nu.'AhH8130,He openedוַיִּפְתַּ֖חvai.yif.TachH6605אֶת־'et-H853her wombרַחְמָ֑הּrach.MahH7358;but Rachelוְרָחֵ֖לve.ra.ChelH7354wasbarrenעֲקָרָֽה׃'a.ka.RahH6135.
32And Leahלֵאָה֙le.'AhH3812conceivedוַתַּ֤הַרva.Ta.harH2029and gave birth toוַתֵּ֣לֶדva.Te.ledH3205a sonבֵּ֔ןBenH1121,and she named himוַתִּקְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹva.tik.Ra' she.MoH7121H8034Reubenרְאוּבֵ֑ןre.'u.VenH7205,forכִּ֣יkiH3588she saidאָֽמְרָ֗ה'a.me.RahH559, “The LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068has seenרָאָ֤הra.'AhH7200my afflictionכִּֽי־ בְּעָנְיִ֔יki- be.'on.yiH6040H3588.Surelyכִּ֥יkiH3588my husbandאִישִֽׁי׃'i.ShiH376will love meיֶאֱהָבַ֥נִיye.'e.ha.Va.niH157nowעַתָּ֖ה'a.TahH6258.”
