2Pleaseנָּ֣אna'H4994let us goנֵֽלְכָה־ne.le.khah-H1980toעַד־'ad-H5704the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֗ןhai.yar.DenH3383,whereמִשָּׁם֙mi.ShamH8033each of usאִ֚ישׁ'ishH376can getוְנִקְחָ֤הve.nik.ChahH3947aאֶחָ֔ת'e.ChatH259logקוֹרָ֣הko.RahH6982so we can buildוְנַעֲשֶׂה־ve.na.'a.seh-H6213ourselvesa placeמָק֖וֹםma.KomH4725to liveשָׁ֛ם לָשֶׁ֣בֶתsham la.She.vetH3427 H8033thereשָׁ֑םShamH8033.” “Goלֵֽכוּ׃Le.khuH1980,”saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Elisha.

3Then one of themהָֽאֶחָ֔דha.'e.ChadH259saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, “Pleaseה֥וֹאֶל נָ֖אHo.'el na'H4994 H2974comeוְלֵ֣ךְve.LekhH1980withאֶת־'et-H854your servantsעֲבָדֶ֑יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650.” “I willאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589comeאֵלֵֽךְ׃'e.LekhH1980,”he repliedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.

4So Elisha wentוַיֵּ֖לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980with themאִתָּ֑ם'i.TamH854,and when they cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935to the Jordanהַיַּרְדֵּ֔נָהhai.yar.De.nahH3383,they began to cut downוַֽיִּגְזְר֖וּvai.yig.ze.RuH1504some treesהָעֵצִֽים׃ha.'e.TzimH6086.

5וַיְהִ֤יvay.HiH1961As oneהָֽאֶחָד֙ha.'e.ChadH259of them was cutting downמַפִּ֣ילma.PilH5307a treeהַקּוֹרָ֔הha.ko.RahH6982וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,the ironהַבַּרְזֶ֖לha.bar.ZelH1270axe headfellנָפַ֣לna.FalH5307intoאֶל־'el-H413the waterהַמָּ֑יִםha.Ma.yimH4325. “Ohאֲהָ֥הּ'a.HahH162,my masterאֲדֹנִ֖י'a.do.NiH113,”he cried outוַיִּצְעַ֥ק וַיֹּ֛אמֶרvai.yitz.'Ak vai.Yo.merH6817 H559, “itוְה֥וּאve.Hu'H1931was borrowedשָׁאֽוּל׃sha.'UlH7592!”

6“Whereאָ֣נָה'A.nahH575did it fallנָפָ֑לna.FalH5307?”askedוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the manאִישׁ־'ish-H376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430.And when he showedוַיַּרְאֵ֙הוּ֙vai.yar.'E.huH7200himאֶת־'et-H853the placeהַמָּק֔וֹםha.ma.KomH4725,the man of God cutוַיִּקְצָב־vai.yik.tzov-H7094a stickעֵץ֙'etzH6086,threwוַיַּשְׁלֶךְ־vai.yash.lekh-H7993it thereשָׁ֔מָּהSha.mahH8033,and made the ironהַבַּרְזֶֽל׃ha.bar.ZelH1270floatוַיָּ֖צֶףvai.Ya.tzefH6687.

7“Lift it outהָ֣רֶםHa.remH7311,”he saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,and the man reached outוַיִּשְׁלַ֥חvai.yish.LachH7971his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027and took itוַיִּקָּחֵֽהוּ׃ פvai.yi.ka.Che.huH3947.
