15While Davidדָוִ֔דda.VidH1732was in Horeshבַּחֹֽרְשָׁה׃ סba.Cho.re.shahH2793in the Wildernessבְּמִדְבַּר־be.mid.bar-H4057of Ziphזִ֖יףzifH2128,heוְדָוִ֥דve.da.VidH1732sawוַיַּ֣רְאvai.Yar'H7200thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586had come outיָצָ֥אya.Tza'H3318to takeלְבַקֵּ֣שׁle.va.KeshH1245אֶת־'et-H853his lifeנַפְשׁ֑וֹnaf.ShoH5315.

16Andוַיָּ֙קָם֙vai.Ya.komH6965Saul’sשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586sonבֶּן־ben-H1121Jonathanיְהוֹנָתָ֣ןye.ho.na.TanH3083cameוַיֵּ֥לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980toאֶל־'el-H413Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732in Horeshחֹ֑רְשָׁהCho.re.shahH2793and strengthenedוַיְחַזֵּ֥קvay.cha.ZekH2388אֶת־'et-H853his handיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027in Godבֵּאלֹהִֽים׃be.lo.HimH430,

17sayingוַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜יוvai.Yo.mer 'e.LavH559 H413, “Do notאַל־'al-H408be afraidתִּירָ֗אti.Ra'H3372,forכִּ֠יkiH3588my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1Saulשָׁא֣וּלsha.'UlH7586will neverלֹ֤אlo'H3808lay a hand onתִֽמְצָאֲךָ֙tim.tza.'a.KhaH4672youיַ֚דyadH3027.And youוְאַתָּה֙ve.'a.TahH859will be kingתִּמְלֹ֣ךְtim.LokhH4427overעַל־'al-H5921Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and I willוְאָנֹכִ֖יve.'a.no.KhiH595beאֶֽהְיֶה־'eh.yeh-H1961yoursecond-in-commandלְמִשְׁנֶ֑הle.mish.NehH4932.Evenוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571my fatherאָבִ֖י'a.ViH1Saulשָׁא֥וּלsha.'UlH7586knowsיֹדֵ֥עַyo.De.a'H3045this is trueכֵּֽן׃KenH3651.”

18So the twoשְׁנֵיהֶ֛םshe.nei.HemH8147of them madeוַיִּכְרְת֧וּvai.yikh.re.TuH3772a covenantבְּרִ֖יתbe.RitH1285beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732remainedוַיֵּ֤שֶׁבvai.Ye.shevH3427in Horeshבַּחֹ֔רְשָׁהba.Cho.re.shahH2793,while Jonathanוִיהוֹנָתָ֖ןvi.ho.na.TanH3083wentהָלַ֥ךְha.LakhH1980homeלְבֵיתֽוֹ׃ סle.vei.ToH1004.
