42When the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֛יha.pe.lish.TiH6430lookedוַיַּבֵּ֧טvai.ya.BetH5027and sawוַיִּרְאֶ֥הvai.yir.'EhH7200אֶת־'et-H853Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732,he despised himוַיִּבְזֵ֑הוּvai.yiv.Ze.huH959becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588he wasהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961just a boyנַ֔עַרNa.'arH5288,ruddyוְאַדְמֹנִ֖יve.'ad.mo.NiH132andעִם־'im-H5973handsomeיְפֵ֥ה מַרְאֶֽה׃ye.Peh mar.'EhH3303 H4758.

43“Am Iאָנֹ֔כִי'a.No.khiH595a dogהֲכֶ֣לֶבha.Khe.levH3611,”heהַפְּלִשְׁתִּי֙ha.pe.lish.TiH6430saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732, “thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588youאַתָּ֥ה'a.TahH859comeבָֽא־va'-H935at meאֵלַ֖י'e.LaiH413with sticksבַּמַּקְל֑וֹתba.mak.LotH4731?”And the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֛יha.pe.lish.TiH6430אֶת־'et-H853cursedוַיְקַלֵּ֧לvay.ka.LelH7043Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732by his godsבֵּאלֹהָֽיו׃be.lo.HavH430.

44“Comeאֶל־ לְכָ֣ה'el- le.KhahH1980 H413hereהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,”he calledוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732, “and I will giveוְאֶתְּנָה֙ve.'e.te.NahH5414אֶת־'et-H853your fleshבְּשָׂ֣רְךָ֔be.Sa.re.khaH1320to the birdsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064and the beastsוּלְבֶהֱמַ֥תu.le.ve.he.MatH929of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ סha.sa.DehH7704!”
