Psalms 50
A Psalm of Asaph.
1The Mighty One, GodH430, Jehovah, hath spokenH1696,And calledH7121 the earthH776 from the rising of the sunH8121 unto the going down thereof.2Out of ZionH6726, the perfection of beautyH3308,GodH430 hath shined forthH3313.3Our GodH430 cometh, and doth not keep silence:A fireH784 devoureth before him,And it is veryH3966 tempestuous roundH5439 about him.4He calleth to the heavensH8064 above,And to the earthH776, that he may judgeH1777 his peopleH5971:5GatherH622 my saints together unto me,Those that have madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with me by sacrificeH2077.6And the heavensH8064 shall declareH5046 his righteousnessH6664;For GodH430 is judgeH8199 himself.[SelahH55427HearH8085, O my peopleH5971, and I will speakH1696;O IsraelH3478, and I will testify unto thee:I am GodH430, even thy GodH430.8I will not reproveH3198 thee for thy sacrificesH2077;And thy burnt-offerings are continuallyH8548 before me.9I will takeH3947 no bullock out of thy houseH1004,Nor he-goats out of thy foldsH4356.10For every beast of the forestH3293 is mine,And the cattleH929 upon a thousandH505 hillsH2042.11I knowH3045 all the birdsH5775 of the mountainsH2022;And the wild beasts of the fieldH7704 are mine.12If I were hungryH7456, I would not tell thee; For the worldH8398 is mine, and the fulness thereof.13Will I eatH398 the fleshH1320 of bullsH47,Or drinkH8354 the bloodH1818 of goatsH6260?14OfferH2076 unto GodH430 the sacrificeH2076 of thanksgivingH8426;And payH7999 thy vowsH5088 unto the Most High;15And callH7121 upon me in the dayH3117 of troubleH6869:I will deliverH2502 thee, and thou shalt glorifyH3513 me.16But unto the wickedH7563 GodH430 saith,What hast thou to do to declare my statutesH2706,And that thou hast takenH5375 my covenantH1285 in thy mouthH6310,17Seeing that thou hatest instruction,And castest my wordsH1697 behind thee?18When thou sawest a thiefH1590, thou consentedst with him,And hast been partaker with adulterersH5003.19Thou givest thy mouthH6310 to evilH7451,And thy tongueH3956 frameth deceitH4820.20Thou sittest and speakest against thy brotherH251;Thou slanderest thine own mother’sH517 sonH1121.21These thingsH428 hast thou done, and I kept silence;Thou thoughtest that I wasH1961 altogether such a one as thyself:ButI will reproveH3198 thee, and set them in order before thine eyesH5869.22Now considerH995 this, ye that forgetH7911 GodH433,LestH6435 I tearH2963 you in pieces, and there be none to deliverH5337:23Whoso offereth the sacrificeH2076 of thanksgivingH8426 glorifieth me;And to him that ordereth his wayH1870 arightWill I showH7200 the salvationH3468 of GodH430.
