Psalms 10:2-11
2In the prideH1346 of the wickedH7563 the poorH6041 is hotlyH1814 pursued;Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.3For the wickedH7563 boasteth of his heart’s desireH8378,And the covetous renounceth, yea, contemneth Jehovah.4The wickedH7563, in the pride of his countenance, saith, He will not requireH1875it.All his thoughts are, There is no GodH430.5His waysH1870 are firm at all timesH6256;Thy judgmentsH4941 are far above out of his sight:As for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.6He saith in his heartH3820, I shall not be moved; To all generationsH1755 I shall not be in adversity.7His mouthH6310 is fullH4390 of cursing and deceitH4820 and oppressionH8496:Under his tongueH3956 is mischiefH5999 and iniquity.8He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; In the secretH4565 placesH4565 doth he murder the innocentH5355;His eyesH5869 are privily set against the helpless.9He lurketh in secretH4565 as a lionH738 in his covert; He lieth in waitH693 to catch the poorH6041:He doth catch the poorH6041, when he draweth him in his netH7568.10He croucheth, he boweth downH5307,And the helpless fallH5307 by his strong onesH6099.11He saith in his heartH3820: GodH410 hath forgottenH7911;He hideth his faceH6440, he will never seeH7200 it.
