Judges 8:24-27
24And GideonH1439 saidH559 unto them, I would makeH5414 a request of you, that ye would giveH5414 me every manH376 the ear-rings of his spoilH7998. (For they had golden ear-rings, because they were IshmaelitesH3459.) 25And they answered, We will willingly giveH5414 them. And they spreadH6566 a garmentH8071, and did castH7993 therein every manH376 the ear-rings of his spoilH7998. 26And the weightH4948 of the golden ear-rings that he requested wasH1961 a thousandH505 and sevenH7651 hundredH3967 shekels of goldH2091; besides the crescents, and the pendantsH5188, and the purpleH713 raiment that wasH1961 on the kingsH4428 of MidianH4080, and besides the chains that were about their camels’H1581 necksH6677. 27And GideonH1439 madeH6213 an ephodH646 thereof, and put it in his cityH5892, even in OphrahH6084: and all IsraelH3478 playedH2181 the harlot after it there; and it becameH1961 a snareH4170 unto GideonH1439, and to his houseH1004.
