Judges 2:1-6
1And the angelH4397 of Jehovah cameH935 up from GilgalH1537 to Bochim. And he saidH559, I madeH7650 you to goH935 up out of EgyptH4714, and have broughtH935 you unto the landH776 which I sware unto your fathersH1; and I saidH559, I will never breakH6565 my covenantH1285 with you: 2and ye shall makeH6213 no covenantH1285 with the inhabitantsH3427 of this landH776; ye shall breakH5422 down their altarsH4196. But ye have not hearkened unto my voiceH6963: whyH4100 have ye done this? 3Wherefore I alsoH1571 saidH559, I will not driveH1644 them out from before you; but they shall beH1961 as thorns in your sidesH6654, and their godsH430 shall beH1961 a snareH4170 unto you. 4And it came to pass, when the angelH4397 of Jehovah spake these wordsH1697 unto all the children of IsraelH3478, that the peopleH5971 liftedH5375 up their voiceH6963, and weptH1058. 5And they calledH7121 the nameH8034 of that placeH4725 Bochim: and they sacrificedH2076 there unto Jehovah.
6Now when JoshuaH3091 had sentH7971 the peopleH5971 awayH7971, the children of IsraelH3478 went every manH376 unto his inheritanceH5159 to possessH3423 the landH776.
