2 Timothy 2:3-15
3Suffer hardship with me, as a goodG2570 soldierG4757 of ChristG5547 JesusG2424. 4No soldierG4754 on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this lifeG979; that he may pleaseG700 him who enrolled him as a soldierG4754. 5And if alsoG2532 a man contend in the games, he is not crownedG4737, except he have contended lawfullyG3545. 6The husbandman that laboreth must be the firstG4413 to partake of the fruitsG2590. 7Consider what I sayG3004; for the LordG2962 shall giveG1325 thee understandingG4907 in all thingsG3956. 8RememberG3421 JesusG2424 ChristG5547, risenG1453 from the deadG3498, of the seedG4690 of DavidG1138, accordingG2596 to my gospelG2098: 9wherein I suffer hardship unto bonds, as a malefactor; but the wordG3056 of GodG2316 is not boundG1210. 10Therefore I endureG5278 all thingsG3778 for the elect’s sakeG1223, that they alsoG2532 may obtainG5177 the salvationG4991 which is in ChristG5547 JesusG2424 with eternalG166 gloryG1391. 11FaithfulG4103 is the sayingG3056: For if we diedG4880 with him, we shall alsoG2532 liveG4800 with him: 12if we endureG5278, we shall alsoG2532 reignG4821 with him: if we shall denyG720 him, he alsoG2532 will denyG720 us: 13if we are faithless, he abideth faithfulG4103; for he cannot denyG720 himself.
14Of these thingsG3778 put them in remembranceG5279, charging them in the sight of the LordG2962, that they strive not about words, to no profit, to the subverting of them that hearG191. 15Give diligence to presentG3936 thyself approved unto GodG2316, a workmanG2040 that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the wordG3056 of truthG225.
