Leviticus 25:25-55

25If thybrotherאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251shall have becomepoorיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134, and havesoldוּמָכַ֖רu.ma.KharH4376some of hispossessionמֵאֲחֻזָּת֑וֹme.'a.chu.za.ToH272, and if any of hiskinהַקָּרֹ֣בha.ka.RoH7138shallcomeוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935toredeemגֹֽאֲלוֹ֙go.'a.LoH1350it, then shall heredeemוְגָאַ֕לve.ga.'AlH1350that which hisbrotherאָחִֽיו׃'a.ChivH251soldמִמְכַּ֥רmi.KarH4465.

31But thehousesוּבָתֵּ֣יu.va.TeiH1004of thevillagesהַחֲצֵרִ֗יםha.cha.tze.RimH2691which have nowallsחֹמָה֙cho.MahH2346aroundסָבִ֔יבsa.VivH5439them shall becountedיֵחָשֵׁ֑בye.cha.ShevH2803as thefieldsשְׂדֵ֥הse.DehH7704of thecountryהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776: they may beredeemedגְּאֻלָּה֙ge.'u.LahH1353, and they shall gooutיֵצֵֽא׃ye.Tze'H3318in thejubileeוּבַיֹּבֵ֖לu.vai.yo.VelH3104.

32However thecitiesוְעָרֵי֙ve.'a.ReiH5892of theLevitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881, and thehousesבָּתֵּ֖יba.TeiH1004of thecitiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of theirpossessionאֲחֻזָּתָ֑ם'a.chu.za.TamH272, may theLevitesלַלְוִיִּֽם׃lal.vi.YimH3881redeemגְּאֻלַּ֥תge.'u.LatH1353at anytimeעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769.

34But thefieldוּֽשְׂדֵ֛הu.se.DehH7704of the commonlandמִגְרַ֥שׁmig.RashH4054of theircitiesעָרֵיהֶ֖ם'a.rei.HemH5892may not besoldיִמָּכֵ֑רyi.ma.KherH4376; for it is theirperpetualעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769possessionאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272.

35And if thybrotherאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251shall have becomepoorיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134, and falleth intopovertyוּמָ֥טָהu.Ma.tahH4131amongyouיָד֖וֹya.DoH3027; then thou shaltrelieveוְהֶֽחֱזַ֣קְתָּve.he.che.Zak.taH2388him: yea, though he may be astrangerגֵּ֧רgerH1616, or asojournerוְתוֹשָׁ֛בve.to.ShavH8453; that he mayliveH2416with thee.

36Takeתִּקַּ֤חti.KachH3947thou nointerestנֶ֣שֶׁךְNe.shekhH5392of him, orincreaseוְתַרְבִּ֔יתve.tar.BitH8636: butfearוְיָרֵ֖אתָve.ya.Re.taH3372thyGodמֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָme.'e.lo.Hei.khaH430; that thybrotherאָחִ֖יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251mayliveH2416with thee.

37Thou shalt notgiveתִתֵּ֥ןti.TenH5414him thymoneyכַּסְפְּךָ֔kas.pe.KhaH3701uponinterestבְּנֶ֑שֶׁךְbe.Ne.shekhH5392, norlendתִתֵּ֥ןti.TenH5414him thyfoodאָכְלֶֽךָ׃'a.khe.Le.khaH400forincreaseוּבְמַרְבִּ֖יתu.ve.mar.BitH4768.

39And if thybrotherאָחִ֛יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251that dwelleth by thee shall have becomepoorיָמ֥וּךְya.MukhH4134, and besoldוְנִמְכַּר־ve.nim.kar-H4376to thee; thou shalt notcompelתַעֲבֹ֥דta.'a.VodH5647him toserveעֲבֹ֥דַת'a.Vo.datH5656as aslaveעָֽבֶד׃'A.vedH5650:

40But as an hiredservantכְּשָׂכִ֥ירke.sa.KhirH7916, and as asojournerכְּתוֹשָׁ֖בke.to.ShavH8453, he shall be with thee, and shallserveיַעֲבֹ֥דya.'a.VodH5647thee to theyearשְׁנַ֥תshe.NatH8141ofjubileeהַיֹּבֵ֖לhai.yo.VelH3104:

41And then shall hedepartוְיָצָא֙ve.ya.Tza'H3318from thee, both he and hischildrenוּבָנָ֣יוu.va.NavH1121with him, and shallreturnוְשָׁב֙ve.ShavH7725to his ownfamilyמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹmish.pach.ToH4940, and to thepossessionאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272of hisfathersאֲבֹתָ֖יו'a.vo.TavH1shall hereturnיָשֽׁוּב׃ya.ShuvH7725.

42For they are myservantsעֲבָדַ֣י'a.va.DaiH5650, which Ibroughtהוֹצֵ֥אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318out of thelandמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776ofEgyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714: they shall not besoldיִמָּכְר֖וּyi.ma.khe.RuH4376asמִמְכֶּ֥רֶתmi.Ke.retH4466slavesעָֽבֶד׃'A.vedH5650.

44Both thymaleוְעַבְדְּךָ֥ve.'av.de.KhaH5650and femaleslavesוַאֲמָתְךָ֖va.'a.ma.te.KhaH519, which thou shalt have, shall be from theheathenהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471that arearoundסְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םse.vi.Vo.tei.KhemH5439you; from them shall yebuyתִּקְנ֖וּtik.NuH7069maleעֶ֥בֶד'E.vedH5650and femaleslavesוְאָמָֽה׃ve.'a.MahH519.
