30Now thekingוּמֶ֣לֶךְu.Me.lekhH4428ofSyriaאֲרָ֡ם'a.RamH758hadcommandedצִוָּה֩tzi.VahH6680thecaptainsשָׂרֵ֨יsa.ReiH8269of thechariotsהָרֶ֤כֶבha.Re.khevH7393that were with him,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Fightתִּלָּ֣חֲמ֔וּti.La.cha.MuH3898ye not withsmallהַקָּטֹ֖ןha.ka.TonH6996orgreatהַגָּד֑וֹלha.ga.DolH1419, except only with thekingמֶ֥לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.
31And it came to pass, when thecaptainsשָׂרֵ֨יsa.ReiH8269of thechariotsהָרֶ֜כֶבha.Re.khevH7393sawכִּרְאוֹת֩kir.'OtH7200Jehoshaphatיְהוֹשָׁפָ֗טye.ho.sha.FatH3092, that theysaidאָֽמְרוּ֙'a.me.RuH559, It is thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478. Therefore theysurroundedוַיָּסֹ֥בּוּvai.ya.So.buH5437him tofightלְהִלָּחֵ֑םle.hi.la.ChemH3898: butJehoshaphatיְהֽוֹשָׁפָט֙ye.ho.sha.FatH3092criedoutוַיִּזְעַ֤קvai.yiz.'AkH2199, and theLORDוַֽיהוָ֣הva.Yah.wehH3068helpedעֲזָר֔וֹa.za.RoH5826him; andGodאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430movedוַיְסִיתֵ֥םvay.si.TemH5496them to depart from him.
32For it came to pass, that, when thecaptainsשָׂרֵ֣יsa.ReiH8269of thechariotsהָרֶ֔כֶבha.Re.khevH7393perceivedכִּרְאוֹת֙kir.'OtH7200that it was not thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478, they turned backagainוַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725frompursuingמֵאַחֲרָֽיו׃me.'a.cha.RavH310him.
