2And it came to pass at thattimeבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117, whenEliוְעֵלִ֖יve.'e.LiH5941was lyingdownשֹׁכֵ֣בsho.KhevH7901in hisplaceבִּמְקֹמ֑וֹbim.ko.MoH4725, and hiseyesוְעֵינָיו֙ve.'ei.novH5869beganהֵחֵ֣לּוּhe.Che.luH2490to growdimכֵה֔וֹתkhe.HotH3544, that hecouldיוּכַ֖לyu.KhalH3201notseeלִרְאֽוֹת׃lir.'otH7200;

3And before thelampוְנֵ֤רve.NerH5216ofGodאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430wentoutיִכְבֶּ֔הyikh.BehH3518in thetempleבְּהֵיכַ֣לbe.hei.KhalH1964of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, where thearkאֲר֥וֹן'a.RonH727ofGodאֱלֹהִֽים׃ פ'E.lo.HimH430was, andSamuelוּשְׁמוּאֵ֖לu.she.mu.'ElH8050was lyingdownשֹׁכֵ֑בsho.KhevH7901to sleep ;

4That theLORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068calledוַיִּקְרָ֧אvai.yik.Ra'H7121Samuelשְׁמוּאֵ֖לshe.mu.'ElH8050: and heansweredוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Here am I.

5And heranוַיָּ֣רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323toEliעֵלִ֗י'e.LiH5941, andsaidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Here amIH2009; for thou didstcallקָרָ֣אתָka.Ra.taH7121me. And hesaidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Icalledקָרָ֖אתִיka.Ra.tiH7121not; liedownשְׁכָ֑בshe.KhavH7901againשׁ֣וּבshuvH7725. And hewentH3212and laydownוַיִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ סvai.yish.KavH7901.

AndSamuelשְׁמוּאֵל֙she.mu.'ElH8050aroseוַיָּ֤קָםvai.Ya.komH6965andwentH3212toEliעֵלִ֔י'e.LiH5941, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Here am I; for thou didstcallקָרָ֖אתָka.Ra.taH7121me. 7NowSamuelוּשְׁמוּאֵ֕לu.she.mu.'ElH8050did notyetH2962knowיָדַ֣עya.Da'H3045theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, neither was thewordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068yetrevealedיִגָּלֶ֥הyi.ga.LehH1540to him.

8And theLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068calledקְרֹא־ke.ro'-H7121Samuelשְׁמוּאֵל֮she.mu.'ElH8050againוַיֹּ֨סֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254the thirdtimeבַּשְּׁלִשִׁית֒ba.she.li.ShitH7992. And hearoseוַיָּ֙קָם֙vai.Ya.komH6965andwentH3212toEliעֵלִ֔י'e.LiH5941, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Here am I; for thou didstcallקָרָ֖אתָka.Ra.taH7121me. 17And hesaidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, What is thethingהַדָּבָר֙ha.da.VarH1697that the LORD hathsaidדִּבֶּ֣רdi.BerH1696to thee?
