8WhenJacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290hadcomeבָּ֥אba'H935intoEgyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, and yourfathersאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙'a.vo.tei.KhemH1criedוַיִּזְעֲק֤וּvai.yiz.'a.KuH2199to theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, then theLORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֨חvai.yish.LachH7971Mosesמֹשֶׁ֣הmo.ShehH4872andAaronאַהֲרֹ֗ן'a.ha.RonH175, who broughtforthוַיּוֹצִ֤יאוּvai.yo.Tzi.'uH3318yourfathersאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם֙'a.vo.tei.KhemH1fromEgyptמִמִּצְרַ֔יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714, and made themdwellוַיֹּשִׁב֖וּםvai.yo.shi.VumH3427in thisplaceבַּמָּק֥וֹםba.ma.KomH4725.

9And when theyforgotוַֽיִּשְׁכְּח֖וּvai.yish.ke.ChuH7911theLORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068theirGodאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430, hesoldוַיִּמְכֹּ֣רvai.yim.KorH4376them into thehandבְּיַ֣דbe.YadH3027ofSiseraסִֽיסְרָא֩si.se.Ra'H5516,captainשַׂר־sar-H8269of thehostצְבָ֨אtze.Va'H6635ofHazorחָצ֜וֹרcha.TzorH2674, and into thehandוּבְיַד־u.ve.yad-H3027of thePhilistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֗יםpe.lish.TimH6430, and into thehandוּבְיַד֙u.ve.YadH3027of thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428ofMoabמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124, and theyfoughtוַיִּֽלָּחֲמ֖וּvai.yi.la.cha.MuH3898against them.

10And theycriedוַיִּזְעֲק֤וּvai.yiz.'a.KuH2199to theLORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068, andsaidוַיֹּאמְר֣וּvai.yo.merH559, We havesinnedחָטָ֔אנוּcha.Ta.nuH2398, because we haveforsakenעָזַ֙בְנוּ֙'a.Zav.nuH5800theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, and haveservedוַנַּעֲבֹ֥דva.na.'a.VodH5647Baalimהַבְּעָלִ֖יםha.be.'a.LimH1168andAshtarothהָעַשְׁתָּר֑וֹתha.'ash.ta.RotH6252: but nowdeliverהַצִּילֵ֛נוּha.tzi.Le.nuH5337us from thehandמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of ourenemiesאֹיְבֵ֖ינוּ'o.ye.Vei.nuH341, and we willserveוְנַעַבְדֶֽךָּ׃ve.na.'av.De.kaH5647thee.

12And when yesawוַתִּרְא֗וּva.tir.'UH7200thatNahashנָחָ֞שׁna.ChashH5176thekingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of thechildrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121ofAmmonעַמּוֹן֮'a.mOnH5983cameבָּ֣אba'H935against you, yesaidוַתֹּ֣אמְרוּva.To.me.ruH559to me, Nay; but akingמֶ֖לֶךְMe.lekhH4428shallreignיִמְלֹ֣ךְyim.LokhH4427over us: when theLORDוַיהוָ֥הva.Yah.wehH3068yourGodאֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם'e.lo.hei.KhemH430was yourkingמַלְכְּכֶֽם׃mal.ke.KhemH4428.

13Now therefore behold thekingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428whom ye havechosenבְּחַרְתֶּ֖םbe.char.TemH977, and whom ye havedesiredשְׁאֶלְתֶּ֑םshe.'el.TemH7592! and, behold, theLORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068hathsetנָתַ֧ןna.TanH5414akingמֶֽלֶךְ׃Me.lekhH4428over you.

14If ye willfearתִּֽירְא֣וּti.re.'UH3372theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068, andserveוַעֲבַדְתֶּ֤םva.'a.vad.TemH5647him, andobeyוּשְׁמַעְתֶּ֣םu.she.ma'.TemH8085hisvoiceבְּקֹל֔וֹbe.ko.LoH6963, and notrebelתַמְר֖וּtam.RuH4784against thecommandmentפִּ֣יpiH6310of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, then shall both ye and also thekingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428thatreignethמָלַ֣ךְma.LakhH4427over you continuefollowingאַחַ֖ר'a.CharH310theLORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068yourGodאֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.KhemH430:

15But if ye will notobeyתִשְׁמְעוּ֙tish.me.'UH8085thevoiceבְּק֣וֹלbe.KolH6963of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, butrebelוּמְרִיתֶ֖םu.me.ri.TemH4784against thecommandmentפִּ֣יpiH6310of theLORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068, then shall thehandיַד־yad-H3027of theLORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068be against you, as it was against yourfathersוּבַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃u.va.'a.vo.tei.KhemH1.
