4And,beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009, thewordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of theLORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068cameיֵצֵ֣אye.Tze'H3318unto him,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, This man shallnotלֹ֥אlo'H3808be thineheirיִֽירָשְׁךָ֖yi.ra.she.KhaH3423; but he that shallcomeH3318forthH3318outH3318of thineownH4578bowelsH4578shall be thineheirיִֽירָשֶֽׁךָ׃Yi.ra.She.khaH3423.

5And hebroughtH3318himforthH3318abroadהַח֗וּצָהha.Chu.tzahH2351, andsaidH559,Lookהַבֶּט־ha.bet-H5027nowנָ֣אna'H4994towardheavenהַשָּׁמַ֗יְמָהha.sha.May.mahH8064, andtellH559thestarsהַכּ֣וֹכָבִ֔יםha.Ko.kha.VimH3556,ifאִם־'im-H518thou beableתּוּכַ֖לtu.KhalH3201totellH559them: and hesaidH559unto him,Soכֹּ֥הkohH3541shall thyseedזַרְעֶֽךָ׃zar.'E.khaH2233be.

7And hesaidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, I am theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068thatbroughtH3318theeoutH3318of Ur of theChaldeesכַּשְׂדִּ֔יםkas.DimH3778, togiveלָ֧תֶתLa.tetH5414thee thislandהָאָ֥רֶץha.'A.retzH776toinheritלְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃le.rish.TahH3423it.

8And hesaidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, OLordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136GODH136, whereby shall Iknowאֵדַ֖ע'e.Da'H3045that I shallinheritאִֽירָשֶֽׁנָּה׃'I.ra.She.nahH3423it?

9And hesaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him,Takeקְחָ֥הke.ChahH3947meאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413anheiferעֶגְלָ֣ה'eg.LahH5697ofthreeמְשֻׁלֶּ֔שֶׁתme.shu.Le.shetH8027yearsoldמְשֻׁלֶּ֖שֶׁתme.shu.Le.shetH8027, and a she-goat ofthreeמְשֻׁלָּ֑שׁme.shu.LashH8027yearsoldH8027, and aramוְאַ֣יִלve.'A.yilH352ofthreeH8027yearsoldH8027, and aturtledoveוְתֹ֖רve.TorH8449, and ayoungוְגוֹזָֽל׃ve.go.ZalH1469pigeonH1469.

10And hetookוַיִּֽקַּֽח־vai.yi.kach-H3947himallכָּל־kol-H3605theseאֵ֗לֶּה'E.lehH428, and divided them in themidstבַּתָּ֔וֶךְba.Ta.vekhH8432, andlaidוַיִּתֵּ֥ןvai.yi.TenH5414eachאִישׁ־'ish-H376halfבִּתְר֖וֹbit.RoH1335overagainstH7125theotherרֵעֵ֑הוּre.'E.huH7453: but thebirdsהַצִפֹּ֖רha.tzi.PorH6833divided henotלֹ֥אlo'H3808.

11And thebirdsהָעַ֖יִטha.'A.yitH5861ofpreyH5861cameH3381downוַיֵּ֥רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381uponעַל־'al-H5921the carcases, andAbramאַבְרָֽם׃'av.RamH87droveH5380themawayH5380.

12And when thesunהַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ha.She.meshH8121wasgoingלָב֔וֹאla.Vo'H935downH5307, adeepוְתַרְדֵּמָ֖הve.tar.de.MahH8639sleepH8639fellH5307uponעַל־'al-H5921Abramאַבְרָ֑ם'av.RamH87; and,loוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009, an horror ofgreatגְדֹלָ֖הge.do.LahH1419darknessחֲשֵׁכָ֥הcha.she.KhahH2825fellH5307uponעָלָֽיו׃'a.LavH5921him.

13And hesaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559untoAbramלְאַבְרָ֗םle.'av.RamH87,KnowH3045of a surety that thyseedזַרְעֲךָ֗zar.'a.KhaH2233shall be astrangerגֵ֣ר׀gerH1616in alandבְּאֶ֙רֶץ֙be.'E.retzH776that isnotלֹ֣אlo'H3808theirs, and shallserveוַעֲבָד֖וּםva.'a.va.DumH5647them; and they shallafflictוְעִנּ֣וּve.'i.NuH6031themfourאַרְבַּ֥ע'ar.Ba'H702hundredמֵא֖וֹתme.'otH3967yearsשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141;

14and also thatnationהַגּ֛וֹיha.GoyH1471,whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834they shallserveיַעֲבֹ֖דוּya.'a.Vo.duH5647, will Ijudgeדָּ֣ןdanH1777: andafterwardוְאַחֲרֵי־ve.'a.cha.rei-H310shall theycomeיֵצְא֖וּye.tze.'UH3318outH3318withgreatגָּדֽוֹל׃ga.DolH1419substance.

15But thou shaltgoתָּב֥וֹאta.Vo'H935to thyfathersאֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ'a.vo.Tei.khaH1inpeaceבְּשָׁל֑וֹםbe.sha.LomH7965; thou shalt beburiedתִּקָּבֵ֖רti.ka.VerH6912in agoodטוֹבָֽה׃to.VahH2896oldבְּשֵׂיבָ֥הbe.sei.VahH7872ageH7872.

16And in thefourthרְבִיעִ֖יre.vi.'IH7243generationוְד֥וֹרve.DorH1755they shallcomeH7725hitheragainH7725: for theiniquityעֲוֹ֥ן'a.VonH5771of theAmoriteהָאֱמֹרִ֖יha.'e.mo.RiH567isnotלֹא־lo'-H3808yetfullשָׁלֵ֛םsha.LemH8003.

17And itcameH935topassH5674, that, when thesunהַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ha.She.meshH8121wentH935downH428, and it wasdarkוַעֲלָטָ֖הva.'a.la.TahH5939,beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009asmokingעָשָׁן֙'a.ShanH6227furnaceתַנּ֤וּרta.NurH8574, and aflamingאֵ֔שׁ'EshH784torchוְלַפִּ֣ידve.la.PidH3940thatpassedH5674betweenבֵּ֖יןbeinH996theseH428piecesהַגְּזָרִ֥יםha.ge.za.RimH1506.
