2Thou shalt not takeתִקַּ֥חti.KachH3947thee a wifeאִשָּׁ֑ה'i.ShahH802,neither shalt thou have sonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121or daughtersוּבָנ֔וֹתu.va.NotH1323in this placeבַּמָּק֖וֹםba.ma.KomH4725.

3For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068concerning the sonsהַבָּנִים֙ha.ba.NimH1121and concerning the daughtersהַבָּנ֔וֹתha.ba.NotH1323that are bornהַיֹּלְד֣וֹתhai.yo.le.DotH3205in this placeבַּמָּק֣וֹםba.ma.KomH4725,and concerning their mothersאִמֹּתָ֞ם'i.mo.TamH517that bareהַמּוֹלִדִ֥יםha.mo.li.DimH3205them, and concerning their fathersאֲבוֹתָ֛ם'a.vo.TamH1that begatהַיִּלּוֹדִ֖יםhai.yi.lo.DimH3209them in this landבָּאָ֥רֶץba.'A.retzH776;

4They shall dieיָמֻ֗תוּya.Mu.tuH4191of grievousתַחֲלֻאִ֜יםta.cha.lu.'ImH8463deathsמְמוֹתֵ֨יme.mo.TeiH4463;they shall not be lamentedיִסָּֽפְדוּ֙yi.sa.fe.DuH5594;neither shall they be buriedיִקָּבֵ֔רוּyi.ka.Ve.ruH6912; butthey shall be as dungלְדֹ֛מֶןle.Do.menH1828upon the faceפְּנֵ֥יpe.NeiH6440of the earthהָאֲדָמָ֖הha.'a.da.MahH127:and they shall be consumedיִכְל֔וּyikh.LuH3615by the swordוּבַחֶ֤רֶבu.va.Che.revH2719,and by famineוּבָֽרָעָב֙u.va.ra.'AvH7458;and their carcasesנִבְלָתָם֙niv.la.TamH5038shall be meatלְמַאֲכָ֔לle.ma.'a.KhalH3978for the fowlsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of heavenהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and for the beastsוּלְבֶהֱמַ֥תu.le.ve.he.MatH929of the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.

5For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559Yhwhיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Enterתָּבוֹא֙ta.Vo'H935not into the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of mourningמַרְזֵ֔חַmar.Ze.achH4798,neither goH3212to lamentלִסְפּ֔וֹדlis.PodH5594nor bemoanתָּנֹ֖דta.NodH5110them: for I have taken awayאָסַ֨פְתִּי'a.Saf.tiH622my peaceשְׁלוֹמִ֜יshe.lo.MiH7965from this peopleהָעָ֤ם־ha.'Am-H5971,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, evenlovingkindnessהַחֶ֖סֶדha.Che.sedH2617and merciesהָֽרַחֲמִֽים׃Ha.ra.cha.MimH7356.

6Both the greatגְדֹלִ֧יםge.do.LimH1419and the smallוּקְטַנִּ֛יםu.ke.ta.NimH6996shall dieוּמֵ֨תוּu.Me.tuH4191in this landבָּאָ֥רֶץba.'A.retzH776:they shall not be buriedיִקָּבֵ֑רוּyi.ka.Ve.ruH6912, neither shall menlamentיִסְפְּד֣וּyis.pe.DuH5594for them, nor cutיִתְגֹּדַ֔דyit.go.DadH1413themselves, nor make themselves baldיִקָּרֵ֖חַyi.ka.Re.achH7139for them:

7Neither shall mentearיִפְרְס֥וּyif.re.SuH6536themselvesfor them in mourningאֵ֖בֶל'E.velH60,to comfortלְנַחֲמ֣וֹle.na.cha.MoH5162them for the deadמֵ֑תMetH4191; neither shall mengive them the cupכּ֣וֹסKosH3563of consolationתַּנְחוּמִ֔יםtan.chu.MimH8575to drinkיַשְׁק֤וּyash.KuH8248for their fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1or for their motherאִמּֽוֹ׃'i.MoH517.
