Job’s Confession
1Then JobH347 answeredH6030 the LordH3068 and saidH559,2“I knowH3045 that 1You canH3201 do allH3605 thingsH3605, And that noH3808 planH4209 isH1219 impossibleH1219 for You.3‘WhoH4310 is thisH2088 who 2concealsH5956 adviceH6098 withoutH1097 knowledgeH1847?’ ThereforeH3651 I have declaredH5046 that which I did not understandH995, ThingsH6381 3tooH4480 wonderfulH6381 for me, which I do not knowH3045.4‘PleaseH4994 listenH8085, and I will speakH1696; I will 4askH7592 You, and You instructH3045 me.’5I have 5heardH8085 of You by the hearingH8088 of the earH241; But nowH6258 my 6eyeH5869 seesH7200 You;6ThereforeH5921H3651 I retractH3988, And I repentH5162, sitting on dustH6083 and ashesH665.”
God Is Displeased with Job’s Friends
7It cameH1961 aboutH1961 afterH310 the LordH3068 had spokenH1696 theseH428 wordsH1697 to JobH347, that the LordH3068 saidH559 to EliphazH464 the TemaniteH8489, “My wrathH639 is kindledH2734 against you and against your twoH8147 friendsH7453, becauseH3588 you have not spokenH1696 of Me whatH3559 isH3559 trustworthyH3559, 7as My servantH5650 JobH347 has. 8NowH6258 therefore, takeH3947 for yourselves 8sevenH7651 bullsH6499 and sevenH7651 ramsH352, and goH1980 to My servantH5650 JobH347, and offerH5927 upH5927 a 9burntH5930 offeringH5930 for yourselves, and My servantH5650 JobH347 will 10prayH6419 for you. 11For I will 12acceptH6440H5375 him soH1115 asH1115 notH1115 to doH6213 with you as your foolishnessH5039 deserves, becauseH3588 you have not spokenH1696 of Me whatH3559 isH3559 trustworthyH3559, as My servantH5650 JobH347 has.” 9So EliphazH464 the TemaniteH8489, BildadH1085 the ShuhiteH7747, and ZopharH6691 the NaamathiteH5284 wentH1980 and didH6213 as the LordH3068 toldH1696 them; and the LordH3068 13acceptedH5375H6440 JobH347.
God Restores Job’s Fortunes
10The LordH3068 also 14restoredH7725 the fortunesH7622 of JobH347 when he prayedH6419 for his friendsH7453, and the LordH3068 increasedH3254 doubleH4932 allH3605 that JobH347 had. 11Then allH3605 his 15brothersH251, allH3605 his sistersH269, and allH3605 who had knownH3045 him beforeH6440 cameH935 to him, and they ateH398 breadH3899 with him in his houseH1004; and they 16sympathizedH5110 with him and comfortedH5162 him for allH3605 the adversitiesH7463 that the LordH3068 had broughtH935 on him. And eachH376 oneH376 gaveH5414 him a 17pieceH7192 ofH7192 moneyH7192, and eachH376 a ringH5141 of goldH2091. 1218The LordH3068 blessedH1288 the latterH319 days of JobH347 moreH4480 thanH4480 his beginningH7225; 19and he hadH1961 fourteenH702H6240 thousandH505 sheepH6629, sixH8337 thousandH505 camelsH1581, a thousandH505 yokeH6776 of oxenH1241, and a thousandH505 femaleH860 donkeysH860. 1320He also hadH1961 sevenH7658 sonsH1121 and threeH7969 daughtersH1323. 14He namedH7121H8034 the firstH259 JemimahH3224, the secondH8145 KeziahH7103, and the thirdH7992 Keren-happuchH7163. 15In allH3605 the landH776 noH3808 womenH802 were foundH4672 as beautifulH3303 as Job’sH347 daughtersH1323; and their fatherH1 gaveH5414 them inheritancesH5159 amongH8432 their brothersH251. 16AfterH310 thisH2088, JobH347 livedH2421 140H3967H705 yearsH8141, and sawH7200 his sonsH1121 and his grandsonsH1121, fourH702 generationsH1755. 1721And JobH347 diedH4191, an oldH2205 manH2205 and fullH7649 of daysH3117.
