1Then ZopharH6691 the NaamathiteH5284 respondedH6030H559,2“Shall a multitudeH7230 of wordsH1697 goH6030 unansweredH3808H6030, And a 1talkativeH8193 manH376 be acquittedH6663?3Shall your boastsH907 silenceH2790 peopleH4962? And will you 2scoffH3932, and noH369 oneH369 rebukeH3637?4For 3you have saidH559, ‘My teachingH3948 is pureH2134, And 4I amH1961 innocentH1249 in your eyesH5869.’5But ifH4310H5414 onlyH4310H5414 GodH433 would speakH1696, And openH6605 His lipsH8193 againstH5973 you,6And showH5046 you the secretsH8587 of wisdomH2451! For soundH8454 wisdomH8454 56has twoH3718 sidesH3718. KnowH3045 then that GodH433 7forgetsH5382 part of 8your guiltH5771.

7“9Can you discoverH4672 the depthsH2714 of GodH433? Can you discoverH4672 the limitsH8503 of the AlmightyH7706?8They are as 10highH1363 as 11the heavensH8064; whatH4100 can you doH6466? DeeperH6013 thanH4480 1213SheolH7585; whatH4100 can you knowH3045?9Its measurementH4055 is longerH752 thanH4480 the earthH776 And broaderH7342 thanH4480 the seaH3220.10IfH518 He passesH2498 byH2498 or apprehendsH5462 people, Or callsH6950 anH6950 assemblyH6950, 14whoH4310 can restrainH7725 Him?11For 15He knowsH3045 falseH7723 peopleH4962, And He 16seesH7200 injusticeH205 17withoutH3808 investigatingH995.121819An idiotH376H5014 will becomeH3823 intelligentH3823 When a 20wildH6501 donkeyH5895 is bornH3205 a humanH120.

13“21IfH518 you would 22directH3559 your heartH3820 rightly And 23spreadH6566 outH6566 your handsH3709 to Him,14IfH518 wrongdoingH205 is in your handH3027, 24putH7368 it farH7368 awayH7368, And do not let maliceH5767 dwellH7931 in your tentsH168;15ThenH227, indeedH3588, you could 25liftH5375 upH5375 your faceH6440 withoutH4480 moral blemishH4140, And you would be firmlyH3332 establishedH3332 and 26not fearH3372.16For you would 27forgetH7911 your troubleH5999; Like 28watersH4325 that have passedH5674 byH5674, you would rememberH2142 it.17Your 29lifeH2465 would 30beH6965 31brighterH6965 thanH4480 noondayH6672; DarknessH8591 would be like the morningH1242.18Then you would trustH982, becauseH3588 thereH3426 isH3426 hopeH8615; And you would lookH2658 aroundH2658 and restH7901 securelyH983.19You would 32lieH7257 downH7257 and noneH369 would disturbH2729 you, And manyH7227 would 3334flatterH2470H6440 you.20But the 35eyesH5869 of the wickedH7563 will failH3615, And 36there will 37be noH6 escapeH4498 for them; And their 38hopeH8615 is 3940to breatheH4646 their lastH4646H5315.”
