Elihu Rebukes Job in Anger
1Then theseH428 threeH7969 menH376 stoppedH7673 answeringH6030 JobH347, becauseH3588 he was 1righteousH6662 in his own eyesH5869. 2But the angerH639 of ElihuH453 the sonH1121 of BarachelH1292 the 2BuziteH940, of the familyH4940 of RamH7410, burnedH2734 against JobH347; his angerH639 burnedH2734 3becauseH5921 he justifiedH6663 himselfH5315 45beforeH4480 GodH430. 3And his angerH639 burnedH2734 against his threeH7969 friendsH7453 becauseH5921H834 they had foundH4672 noH3808 answerH4617, yet they had condemnedH7561 JobH347. 4Now ElihuH453 had waitedH2442 6to speakH1697 to JobH347 becauseH3588 they were yearsH3117 olderH2205 thanH4480 he. 5But when ElihuH453 sawH7200 that thereH369 wasH369 noH369 answerH4617 in the mouthH6310 of the threeH7969 menH376, his angerH639 burnedH2734.
6So ElihuH453 the sonH1121 of BarachelH1292 the BuziteH940 7spokeH6030 outH6030 and saidH559, “I am youngH6810 in yearsH3117 and you are 8oldH3453; ThereforeH5921H3651 I was shyH2119 and afraidH3372 to tellH2331 you 9whatH1843 I thinkH1843.7I 10thoughtH559 1112ageH3117 should speakH1696, And 13increasedH7230 yearsH8141 should teachH3045 wisdomH2451.8But it is a spiritH7307 that is in mankindH582, And the 14breathH5397 of the AlmightyH7706 givesH995 them 15understandingH995.9The 16abundantH7227 in years may not beH2449 wiseH2449, NorH3808 may 17eldersH2205 understandH995 justiceH4941.10SoH3651 I 18sayH559, ‘ListenH8085 to me, I tooH637 will tellH2331 19whatH1843 I thinkH1843.’
11“BeholdH2005, I waitedH3176 for your wordsH1697, I listenedH238 to your skillfulH8394 speechH8394, WhileH5704 you 20ponderedH2713 whatH4405 toH4405 sayH4405.12I also paidH995 closeH995 attentionH995 to you; But 21indeedH2009, thereH369 was noH369 oneH369 who refutedH3198 JobH347, Not one of you who answeredH6030 his wordsH561.13SoH6435 doH6435 notH6435 sayH559, ‘22We have foundH4672 wisdomH2451: GodH410 will 23defeatH5086 him, not manH376.’14But he has not presentedH6186 his wordsH4405 againstH413 me, NorH3808 will I replyH7725 to him with your 24argumentsH561.
15“They are dismayedH2865, they noH3808 longerH5750 answerH6030; WordsH4405 have 25failedH6275 them.16Should I waitH3176, becauseH3588 they are not speakingH1696, BecauseH3588 they have 26stoppedH5975 and noH3808 longerH5750 answerH6030?17I tooH637 will 27giveH6030 my shareH2506 of answersH6030; I alsoH637 will tellH2331 my opinionH1843.18For I am fullH4390 of wordsH4405; The spiritH7307 withinH990 me compelsH6693 me.19BeholdH2009, my bellyH990 is like unventedH3808H6605 wineH3196; Like newH2319 wineskinsH178, it is about to burstH1234.20Let me speakH1696 so that I may getH7304 reliefH7304; Let me openH6605 my lipsH8193 and answerH6030.21Let me 28beH5375 partialH5375H6440 to noH408 oneH376, NorH3808 flatterH3655 any manH120.22For I do not knowH3045 how to flatterH3655, Otherwise my MakerH6213 would quicklyH4592 takeH5375 me away.
