Job Submits Himself to the LORD
1Then JobH347 repliedH6030 to the LORDH3068H559:
The LORD Rebukes Job’s Friends
AfterH310 the LORDH3068 had spokenH1696 theseH428 wordsH1697 toH413 JobH347, HeH3068 saidH559 toH413 EliphazH464 the TemaniteH8489, “My wrathH639 is kindledH2734 against you and your twoH8147 friendsH7453. ForH3588 you have notH3808 spokenH1696 about MeH413 accuratelyH3559, as My servantH5650 Job hasH347. 8So nowH6258, takeH3947 sevenH7651 bullsH6499 and sevenH7651 ramsH352, goH1980 toH413 My servantH5650 JobH347, and sacrificeH5927 a burnt offeringH5930 for yourselvesH1157. Then My servantH5650 JobH347 will prayH6419 for youH5921, forH3588H518 I will acceptH5375 his prayerH6440 and notH1115 dealH6213 with youH5973 according to your follyH5039. ForH3588 you have notH3808 spokenH1696 accuratelyH3559 about MeH413, as My servantH5650 Job hasH347.”
9So EliphazH464 the TemaniteH8489, BildadH1085 the ShuhiteH7747, and ZopharH6691 the NaamathiteH5284 wentH1980 and didH6213 asH834 the LORDH3068 had told themH1696H413; and the LORDH3068 acceptedH5375H6440 Job’s prayerH347.
The LORD Blesses Job
10After JobH347 had prayedH6419 forH1157 his friendsH7453, the LORDH3068 restoredH7725 his prosperityH7622 and doubledH3254H3068 hisH347 former possessionsH3605. 11AllH3605 his brothersH251 andH3605 sistersH269H3605 and priorH6440 acquaintancesH3045 cameH935 and dinedH398H3899 with himH5973 in his houseH1004. They consoledH5110 him and comfortedH5162 himH853 overH5921 allH3605 the adversityH7451 thatH834 the LORDH3068 had broughtH935 upon himH5921. And eachH376 one gaveH5414 him aH259H376 piece of silverH71923 and aH259 goldH2091 ringH5141.
12So the LORDH3068 blessedH1288 Job’sH347 latterH319 days more than his firstH7225. He ownedH1961 14,000H702H6240H505 sheepH6629, 6,000H8337H505 camelsH1581, 1,000H505 yokeH6776 of oxenH1241, and 1,000H505 female donkeysH860. 13And he also hadH1961 sevenH7658 sonsH1121 and threeH7969 daughtersH1323. 14He namedH7121H8034 his firstH259 daughter JemimahH3224H8034, his secondH8145 KeziahH7103H8034, and his thirdH7992 Keren-happuchH7163. 15NoH3808 womenH802 as beautifulH3303 as Job’sH347 daughtersH1323 could be foundH4672 in allH3605 the landH776, and their fatherH1 grantedH5414 them an inheritanceH5159 amongH8432 their brothersH251.
16AfterH310 thisH2063, JobH347 livedH2421 140H3967H705 yearsH8141 and sawH7200 his childrenH1121 and theirH1121 childrenH1121 to the fourthH702 generationH1755. 17And so JobH347 diedH4191, oldH2205 and fullH7649 of yearsH3117.
