Jeremiah 45
Message to Baruch
1This is the messageH1697 whichH834 JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 spokeH1696 to 1BaruchH1263 the sonH1121 of NeriahH5374, when he had 2writtenH3789 theseH428 wordsH1697 in a bookH5612 3at Jeremiah’sH3414 dictationH6310, in the 4fourthH7243 yearH8141 of JehoiakimH3079 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977, kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH559:
2“ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478 saysH559 to you, BaruchH1263:
3‘You saidH559, “OhH4994, woeH188 to me! For the LordH3068 has addedH3254 griefH3015 to my painH4341; I am 5wearyH3021 with my groaningH603 and have foundH4672 noH3808 restH4496.”’
4ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 you are to sayH559 to him: ‘ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “BeholdH2009, 6whatH834 I have builtH1129 I am going to tearH2040 downH2040, and whatH834 I have plantedH5193 I am going to uprootH5428, that is, allH3605 the people of the landH776.”
5But as for you, are you 7seekingH1245 greatH1419 thingsH1419 for yourself? Do not seekH1245 them; for beholdH2009, I am going to 8bringH935 disasterH7463 on allH3605 fleshH1320,’ declaresH5002 the LordH3068, ‘but I will 9giveH5414 your lifeH5315 to you as plunderH7998 in allH3605 the placesH4725 whereH834H8033 you may goH1980.’”
