1The wordH1697 that JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 spakeH1696 unto BaruchH1263 the sonH1121 of NeriahH5374, when he had writtenH3789 these wordsH1697 in a bookH5612 at the mouthH6310 of JeremiahH3414, in the fourthH7243 yearH8141 of JehoiakimH3079 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH559, 2Thus saithH559 YhwhH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, unto thee, O BaruchH1263; 3Thou didst sayH559, WoeH188 is me now! for YhwhH3068 hath addedH3254 griefH3015 to my sorrowH4341; I faintedH3021 in my sighingH585, and I findH4672 no restH4496.
4Thus shalt thou sayH559 unto him, YhwhH3068 saithH559 thus; Behold, that which I have builtH1129 will I break downH2040, and that which I have plantedH5193 I will pluck upH5428, even this whole landH776. 5And seekestH1245 thou great thingsH1419 for thyself? seekH1245 them not: for, behold, I will bringH935 evilH7451 upon all fleshH1320, saithH5002 YhwhH3068: but thy lifeH5315 will I giveH5414 unto thee for a preyH7998 in all placesH4725 whither thou goestH3212.
