4So the Leviteהַלֵּוִ֗יha.le.ViH3881,the husbandH376of the womanהָאִשָּׁ֥הha.'i.ShahH802who was murderedהַנִּרְצָחָ֖הha.nir.tza.ChahH7523,answeredוַיַּ֜עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “I cameבָּ֛אתִיBa.tiH935with my concubineוּפִֽילַגְשִׁ֖יu.fi.lag.ShiH6370to spendלָלֽוּן׃la.LunH3885theH3885nightH3885at Gibeahהַגִּבְעָ֙תָה֙ha.giv.'A.tahH1390whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834belongs to Benjaminלְבִנְיָמִ֔ןle.vin.ya.MinH1144.
5But thecitizensבַּעֲלֵ֣יba.'a.LeiH1167of Gibeahהַגִּבְעָ֔הha.giv.'AhH1390roseH6965upH6965againstעָלַי֙'a.LaiH5921me and surroundedוַיָּסֹ֧בּוּvai.ya.So.buH5437the houseהַבַּ֖יִתha.Ba.yitH1004at nightלָ֑יְלָהLa.ye.lahH3915,threateningעָלַ֛י'a.LaiH5921me. They intendedדִּמּ֣וּdi.MuH1819to killלַהֲרֹ֔גla.ha.RogH2026me; instead, theyrapedעִנּ֖וּ'i.NuH6031my concubineפִּילַגְשִׁ֥יpi.lag.ShiH6370so that she diedוַתָּמֹֽת׃va.ta.MotH4191.
