29Nowthe Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068cameוַתְּהִ֤יva.te.HiH1961upon Jephthahיִפְתָּח֙yif.TachH3316,and he passedH5674throughH5674Gileadהַגִּלְעָ֖דha.gil.'AdH1568and Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֑הme.na.ShehH4519;then he passedH5674throughH5674Mizpahמִצְפֵּ֣הmitz.PehH4708of Gileadגִלְעָ֔דgil.'AdH1568,and from Mizpahוּמִמִּצְפֵּ֣הu.mi.mitz.PehH4708of Gileadגִלְעָ֔דgil.'AdH1568he wentH5674onH5674to the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Ammonעַמּֽוֹן׃a.MonH5983.

30And Jephthahיִפְתָּ֥חyif.TachH3316madeוַיִּדַּ֨רvai.yi.DarH5087a vowנֶ֛דֶרNe.derH5088to the Lordלַיהוָ֖הla.Yah.wehH3068and saidוַיֹּאמַ֑רvai.yo.MarH559, “Ifאִם־'im-H518You will indeedH5414handבְּיָדִֽי׃be.ya.DiH5414 H3027overH5414to me the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Ammonעַמּ֖וֹןa.MonH5983,

31then whateverאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834comesהַיּוֹצֵ֗אhai.yo.Tze'H3318outיֵצֵ֜אye.Tze'H3318the doorsמִדַּלְתֵ֤יmi.dal.TeiH1817of my houseבֵיתִי֙vei.TiH1004to meetלִקְרָאתִ֔יlik.ra.TiH7122me when I returnבְּשׁוּבִ֥יbe.shu.ViH7725safelyבְשָׁל֖וֹםve.sha.LomH7965from the sonsמִבְּנֵ֣יmi.be.NeiH1121of Ammonעַמּ֑וֹןa.MonH5983,it shall be the Lord’sלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068,and I will offerוְהַעֲלִיתִ֖הוּve.ha.'a.li.Ti.huH5927it upH5927as a burntעוֹלָֽה׃ פo.LahH5930offeringH5930.”

32So Jephthahיִפְתָּ֛חyif.TachH3316crossedH5674overH5674to the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Ammonעַמּ֖וֹןa.MonH5983to fightלְהִלָּ֣חֶםle.hi.La.chemH3898against them; and the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068handedבְּיָדֽוֹ׃be.ya.DoH5414 H3027them overH5414to him.

33Heinflictedוַיַּכֵּ֡םvai.ya.KemH5221a veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966greatגְּדוֹלָ֣הge.do.LahH1419defeatמַכָּ֖הma.KahH4347on them from Aroerמֵעֲרוֹעֵר֩me.'a.ro.'ErH6177to the entranceבּוֹאֲךָ֨bo.'a.KhaH935ofMinnithמִנִּ֜יתmi.NitH4511,twentyעֶשְׂרִ֣ים'es.RimH6242citiesעִ֗יר'IrH5892,and as farH5704as Abel-keramimH64.So the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Ammonעַמּ֔וֹןa.MonH5983were subduedוַיִּכָּֽנְעוּ֙vai.yi.ka.ne.'UH3665beforeמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH4480 H6440the sonsבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.
