21Then Jehuיֵהוּא֙ye.Hu'H3058sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֤חvai.yish.LachH7971wordthroughoutבְּכָל־be.kholH3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and allכָּל־kol-H3605the worshipersעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935,so that there was not a personאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376leftנִשְׁאַ֥רnish.'ArH7604whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834did not comeבָ֑אVa'H935.And when they enteredוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבַּ֔עַלha.Ba.'alH1168,the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168was filledוַיִּמָּלֵ֥אvai.yi.ma.Le'H4390from oneH6310endH6310to the otherH6310.
22And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the one whoלַֽאֲשֶׁר֙la.'a.SherH834wasinH5921chargeH5921ofH5921the wardrobeהַמֶּלְתָּחָ֔הha.mel.ta.ChahH4458, “BringH3318outH3318garmentsלְב֔וּשׁle.VushH3830for allלְכֹ֖לle.KholH3605the worshipersעֹבְדֵ֣י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168.”So he broughtH3318outH3318the garmentsהַמַּלְבּֽוּשׁ׃ha.mal.BushH4403for them.
23Then Jehuיֵה֛וּאye.Hu'H3058enteredוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Baalהַבָּ֑עַלha.Ba.'alH1168with Jehonadabוִיהוֹנָדָ֥בvi.ho.na.DavH3082the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Rechabרֵכָ֖בre.KhavH7394;and he saidוַיֹּ֜אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to the worshipersלְעֹבְדֵ֣יle.'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֗עַלha.Ba.'alH1168, “Searchחַפְּשׂ֤וּcha.pe.SuH2664carefullyH2664and seeוּרְאוּ֙u.re.'UH7200to it thatH6435thereH3426isH3426hereפֹּ֤הpohH6311with you noneH6435of the servantsמֵעַבְדֵ֣יme.'av.DeiH5650of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,but onlyלְבַדָּֽם׃le.va.DamH905the worshipersעֹבְדֵ֥י'oe.DeiH5647of Baalהַבַּ֖עַלha.Ba.'alH1168.”
24Then they enteredוַיָּבֹ֕אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935toofferלַעֲשׂ֖וֹתla.'a.SotH6213sacrificesזְבָחִ֣יםze.va.ChimH2077and burntוְעֹל֑וֹתve.'o.LotH5930offeringsH5930.Now Jehuוְיֵה֞וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058had stationedשָׂם־som-H7760for himself eightyשְׁמֹנִ֣יםshe.mo.NimH8084menאִ֔ישׁ'IshH376outsideבַחוּץ֙va.ChutzH2351,and he had saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “The oneH376whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834allows anyמִן־min-H4480of the menהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376whomאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834I bringמֵבִ֣יאme.Vi'H935into your handsיְדֵיכֶ֔םye.dei.KhemH3027to escapeיִמָּלֵט֙yi.ma.LetH4422shall give up his lifeH5315in exchangeתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478.”
25Then it cameH1961aboutH1961,as soon as he had finishedכְּכַלֹּת֣וֹ׀ke.kha.lo.ToH3615offeringלַעֲשׂ֣וֹתla.'a.SotH6213the burntהָעֹלָ֗הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930,that Jehuיֵ֠הוּאYe.hu'H3058saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to theguardלָרָצִ֨יםla.ra.TzimH7323and to the royalH7991officersוְלַשָּׁלִשִׁ֜יםve.la.sha.li.ShimH7991, “Goבֹּ֤אוּBo.'uH935inH935,killהַכּוּם֙ha.KumH5221them; let noneאִ֣ישׁ אַל־'ish 'al-H376H408comeיֵצֵ֔אye.Tze'H3318outH3318.” So theykilledוַיַּכּ֖וּםvai.ya.KumH5221them with the edgeלְפִי־le.fi-H6310of the swordחָ֑רֶבCha.revH2719; and theguardהָֽרָצִים֙ha.ra.TzimH7323and the royalH7991officersוְהַשָּׁ֣לִשִׁ֔יםve.ha.Sha.li.ShimH7991threwH7993themoutH7993,and wentוַיֵּלְכ֖וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980to thesanctuaryעִ֥יר'irH5892of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Baalהַבָּֽעַל׃ha.Ba.'alH1168.
29HoweverH7534, as forthe sinsחֲטָאֵ֞יcha.ta.'EiH2399of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֤םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָט֙ne.VatH5028,into whichH834he misledהֶחֱטִ֣יאhe.che.Ti'H2398Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,from these Jehuיֵה֖וּאye.Hu'H3058did not desistסָ֥רsarH5493, including thegoldenהַזָּהָ֔בha.za.HavH2091calvesעֶגְלֵי֙'eg.LeiH5695that wereat BethelH1008and at Danבְּדָֽן׃ סbe.DanH1835.
30Yet the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Jehuיֵה֗וּאye.Hu'H3058, “Becauseיַ֤עַןYa.'anH3282H834you have doneH2895wellהֱטִיבֹ֙תָ֙he.ti.Vo.taH2895in performingלַעֲשׂ֤וֹתla.'a.SotH6213whatH3477isH3477rightהַיָּשָׁר֙hai.ya.SharH3477in My eyesבְּעֵינַ֔יbe.'ei.NaiH5869, andhave doneעָשִׂ֖יתָ'a.Si.taH6213to the houseלְבֵ֣יתle.VeitH1004of Ahabאַחְאָ֑ב'ach.'AvH256in accordance with everythingכְּכֹל֙ke.KholH3605that wasin My heartבִּלְבָבִ֔יbil.va.ViH3824,your sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121to the fourthרְבִעִ֔יםre.vi.'ImH7243generationshall sitיֵשְׁב֥וּye.she.VuH3427on the throneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.”
31But Jehuוְיֵה֗וּאve.ye.Hu'H3058wasH8104not carefulH8104to walkלָלֶ֛כֶתla.Le.khetH1980in the Lawבְּתֽוֹרַת־be.to.rat-H8451of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,with allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605his heartלְבָב֑וֹle.va.VoH3824;he did not desistסָ֗רSarH5493from the sinsחַטֹּ֣אותcha.TotH2403of Jeroboamיָֽרָבְעָ֔םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379,into whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he misledהֶחֱטִ֖יאhe.che.Ti'H2398Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
