30Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֤הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971, “ComeH5066forwardH5066to me.” So allכָל־khol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971cameH5066forwardH5066to him. Andhe repairedוַיְרַפֵּ֛אvay.ra.Pe'H7495the altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068which had been tornהֶהָרֽוּס׃he.ha.RusH2040downH2040.

31Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֗הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947twelveשְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙she.Teim 'es.RehH8147 H6240stonesאֲבָנִ֔ים'a.va.NimH68,corresponding to the numberכְּמִסְפַּ֖רke.mis.ParH4557of the tribesשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,to whomאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068had comeH1961,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall be your nameשְׁמֶֽךָ׃she.Me.khaH8034.”

32And with the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֛יםha.'a.va.NimH68he builtוַיִּבְנֶ֧הvai.yiv.NehH1129an altarמִזְבֵּ֖חַmiz.Be.achH4196inthe nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;and he madeוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a trenchתְּעָלָ֗הte.'a.LahH8585aroundסָבִ֖יבsa.VivH5439the altarלַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃la.miz.Be.achH4196,largeH1004enoughH1004to holdH1004twomeasuresסָאתַ֣יִםsa.Ta.yimH5429of seedזֶ֔רַעZe.ra'H2233.

33Then he laidH6186outH6186the woodH6086,and he cutוַיְנַתַּח֙vay.na.TachH5408the oxהַפָּ֔רha.ParH6499inH5408piecesH5408and placedוַיָּ֖שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760iton the woodH6086.

34And he saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Fillמִלְא֨וּmil.'UH4390fourאַרְבָּעָ֤ה'ar.ba.'AhH702largeH3537jarsכַדִּים֙kha.DimH3537with waterמַ֔יִםMa.yimH4325and pourוְיִֽצְק֥וּve.yitz.KuH3332iton the burntהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and on the woodהָעֵצִ֑יםha.'e.TzimH6086.”And he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “DoH8138it aH8138secondH8138timeH8138,”so they didH8138it aH8138secondH8138timeH8138.Then he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “DoH8027it aH8027thirdשַׁלֵּ֖שׁוּsha.Le.shuH8027timeוַיְשַׁלֵּֽשׁוּ׃vay.sha.Le.shuH8027,”so they didH8027it aH8027thirdH8027timeH8027.

35The waterהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325flowedוַיֵּלְכ֣וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980aroundסָבִ֖יבsa.VivH5439the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַla.miz.Be.achH4196,and he alsoוְגַ֥םve.GamH1571filledמִלֵּא־mi.le'-H4390the trenchהַתְּעָלָ֖הha.te.'a.LahH8585with waterמָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

36Thenat the timeH3117of the offeringבַּעֲל֣וֹתba.'a.LotH5927of the eveningsacrificeהַמִּנְחָ֗הha.min.ChahH4503,Elijahאֵלִיָּ֣הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452the prophetהַנָּבִיא֮ha.na.Vi'H5030approachedוַיִּגַּ֞שׁvai.yi.GashH5066and saidוַיֹּאמַר֒vai.yo.MarH559, “Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Godאֱלֹהֵי֙'e.lo.HeiH430of Abrahamאַבְרָהָם֙'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִצְחָ֣קyitz.ChakH3327,and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,todayH3117let it be knownיִוָּדַ֗עyi.va.Da'H3045thatYou are Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478and that I am Your servantעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ'av.De.khaH5650, and thatI have doneעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵֽלֶּה׃ha.'E.lehH428thingsוּבִדְבָרְךָ֣u.ve.div.rei.khaH1697at Your wordהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697.

37Answerעֲנֵ֤נִי'a.Ne.niH6030me, Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,answerעֲנֵ֔נִי'a.Ne.niH6030me, so that thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971may knowוְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045that You, Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,are Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430, and thatYou have turnedהֲסִבֹּ֥תָha.si.Bo.taH5437their heartלִבָּ֖םli.BamH3820backאֲחֹרַנִּֽית׃'a.cho.ra.NitH322.”

38Then thefireאֵשׁ־'esh-H784of the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068fellוַתִּפֹּ֣לva.ti.PolH5307and consumedוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398the burntהָֽעֹלָה֙ha.'o.LahH5930offeringH5930and the woodהָ֣עֵצִ֔יםha.'e.TzimH6086,and the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֖יםha.'a.va.NimH68and the dustהֶעָפָ֑רhe.'a.FarH6083;and it lickedH3897upH3897the waterהַמַּ֥יִםha.Ma.yimH4325that was in the trenchבַּתְּעָלָ֖הba.te.'a.LahH8585.

39When allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971sawוַיַּרְא֙vai.yaR'H7200this,they fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307on their facesפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440;and they saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “The Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,He is Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430;the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,He is Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430!”
