30Then Elijahאֵלִיָּ֤הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971, “Come nearגְּשׁ֣וּge.ShuH5066to meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413.”So allכָל־khol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֖ם אֵלָ֑יוha.'Am 'e.LavH5971 H413approached himוַיִּגְּשׁ֥וּvai.yi.ge.ShuH5066,and he repairedוַיְרַפֵּ֛אvay.ra.Pe'H7495אֶת־'et-H853the altarמִזְבַּ֥חmiz.BachH4196of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068that had been torn downהֶהָרֽוּס׃he.ha.RusH2040.

31And Elijahאֵלִיָּ֗הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947twelveשְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙she.Teim 'es.RehH8147 H6240stonesאֲבָנִ֔ים'a.va.NimH68,one for eachכְּמִסְפַּ֖רke.mis.ParH4557tribeשִׁבְטֵ֣יshiv.TeiH7626of the sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290,toאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413whomאֲשֶׁר֩'a.SherH834the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068had comeהָיָ֨הha.YahH1961andsaidלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478shall beיִהְיֶ֥הyih.YehH1961your nameשְׁמֶֽךָ׃she.Me.khaH8034.”

32And with the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֛יםha.'a.va.NimH68, Elijahbuiltוַיִּבְנֶ֧הvai.yiv.NehH1129אֶת־'et-H853an altarמִזְבֵּ֖חַmiz.Be.achH4196in the nameבְּשֵׁ֣םbe.ShemH8034of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.Then he dugוַיַּ֣עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213a trenchתְּעָלָ֗הte.'a.LahH8585aroundסָבִ֖יבsa.VivH5439the altarלַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃la.miz.Be.achH4196large enough to holdכְּבֵית֙ke.VeitH1004two seahsסָאתַ֣יִםsa.Ta.yimH5429of seedזֶ֔רַעZe.ra'H2233.

33Next, he arrangedוַֽיַּעֲרֹ֖ךְvai.ya.'a.RokhH6186אֶת־'et-H853the woodH6086,cut upוַיְנַתַּח֙vay.na.TachH5408אֶת־'et-H853the bullהַפָּ֔רha.ParH6499,placedוַיָּ֖שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760it onH5921the woodH6086,

34and saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Fillמִלְא֨וּmil.'UH4390fourאַרְבָּעָ֤ה'ar.ba.'AhH702waterpotsכַדִּים֙ מַ֔יִםkha.Dim Ma.yimH3537 H4325and pourוְיִֽצְק֥וּve.yitz.KuH3332the wateronעַל־'al-H5921the offeringהָעֹלָ֖הha.'o.LahH5930and onוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the woodהָעֵצִ֑יםha.'e.TzimH6086.” “Do it a second timeשְׁנוּ֙she.NuH8138,”he saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,and they did it a second timeוַיִּשְׁנ֔וּvai.yish.NuH8138. “Do it a third timeשַׁלֵּ֖שׁוּsha.Le.shuH8027,”he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,and they did it a third timeוַיְשַׁלֵּֽשׁוּ׃vay.sha.Le.shuH8027.

35So the waterהַמַּ֔יִםha.Ma.yimH4325ran downוַיֵּלְכ֣וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980aroundסָבִ֖יבsa.VivH5439the altarלַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַla.miz.Be.achH4196and evenוְגַ֥םve.GamH1571אֶת־'et-H853filledמִלֵּא־mi.le'-H4390the trenchהַתְּעָלָ֖הha.te.'a.LahH8585מָֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

36וַיְהִ֣י׀vay.HiH1961At the time ofבַּעֲל֣וֹתba.'a.LotH5927the evening sacrificeהַמִּנְחָ֗הha.min.ChahH4503,Elijahאֵלִיָּ֣הוּ'e.li.Ya.huH452the prophetהַנָּבִיא֮ha.na.Vi'H5030approachedוַיִּגַּ֞שׁvai.yi.GashH5066the altar and saidוַיֹּאמַר֒vai.yo.MarH559, “O LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Godאֱלֹהֵי֙'e.lo.HeiH430of Abrahamאַבְרָהָם֙'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִצְחָ֣קyitz.ChakH3327,and Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לve.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,let it be knownיִוָּדַ֗עyi.va.Da'H3045this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Youאַתָּ֧ה'a.TahH859are Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478and that Iוַאֲנִ֣יva.'a.NiH589amYour servantעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ'av.De.khaH5650and have doneעָשִׂ֔יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213אֵ֥ת'etH853allכָּל־kol-H3605theseהָאֵֽלֶּה׃ha.'E.lehH428thingsוּבִדְבָרְךָ֣u.ve.div.rei.khaH1697at Your commandהַדְּבָרִ֖יםha.de.va.RimH1697.

37Answer meעֲנֵ֤נִי'a.Ne.niH6030,O LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068!Answer meעֲנֵ֔נִי'a.Ne.niH6030,so that thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971will knowוְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045thatכִּֽי־ki-H3588Youאַתָּ֥ה'a.TahH859,the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,are Godהָאֱלֹהִ֑יםha.'E.lo.HimH430,and that Youוְאַתָּ֛הve.'a.TahH859have turnedהֲסִבֹּ֥תָha.si.Bo.taH5437אֶת־'et-H853their heartsלִבָּ֖םli.BamH3820back againאֲחֹרַנִּֽית׃'a.cho.ra.NitH322.”

38Then the fireאֵשׁ־'esh-H784of the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068fellוַתִּפֹּ֣לva.ti.PolH5307and consumedוַתֹּ֤אכַלva.To.khalH398אֶת־'et-H853the sacrificeהָֽעֹלָה֙ha.'o.LahH5930וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,the woodהָ֣עֵצִ֔יםha.'e.TzimH6086וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,the stonesהָאֲבָנִ֖יםha.'a.va.NimH68וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,and the dustהֶעָפָ֑רhe.'a.FarH6083וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853,and it licked upלִחֵֽכָה׃li.Che.khahH3897the waterהַמַּ֥יִםha.Ma.yimH4325אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834in the trenchבַּתְּעָלָ֖הba.te.'a.LahH8585.

39When allכָּל־kol-H3605the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971saw thisוַיַּרְא֙vai.yaR'H7200,they fellוַֽיִּפְּל֖וּvai.yi.pe.LuH5307facedownעַל־ פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם'al- pe.nei.HemH5921 H6440and saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “The LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,Heה֣וּאhu'H1931is Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430!The LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,Heה֥וּאhu'H1931is Godהָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ha.'E.lo.HimH430!”
