You shall surelyH5414 giveH5414 them a hereditaryH5159 possessionH272 amongH8432 their father’sH1 brothersH251, and you shall transferH5674 the inheritanceH5159 of their fatherH1 to them. 8Further, you shall speakH1696 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘IfH3588 a manH376 diesH4191 and hasH369 noH369 sonH1121, then you shall transferH5674 his inheritanceH5159 to his daughterH1323. 9IfH518 he hasH369 noH369 daughterH1323, then you shall giveH5414 his inheritanceH5159 to his brothersH251. 10IfH518 he hasH369 noH369 brothersH251, then you shall giveH5414 his inheritanceH5159 to his father’sH1 brothersH251. 11IfH518 his fatherH1 hasH369 noH369 brothersH251, then you shall giveH5414 his inheritanceH5159 to his nearestH7138 relativeH7607 in his own familyH4940, and he shall possessH3423 it; and it shall be a 7statutoryH2708 ordinanceH4941 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, justH3512 as the LordH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872.’”

15Then MosesH4872 spokeH1696 to the LordH3068, sayingH559, 16“16May the LordH3068, the GodH430 of the spiritsH7307 of allH3605 fleshH1320, appointH6485 a manH376 overH5921 the congregationH5712, 17whoH834 17will goH3318 out 18and comeH935 in beforeH6440 them, and whoH834 will leadH3318 them out and 19bringH935 them in, so that the congregationH5712 of the LordH3068 will not be 20like sheepH6629 whichH834 haveH369 noH369 shepherdH7462.” 18So the LordH3068 saidH559 to MosesH4872, “21TakeH3947 JoshuaH3091 the sonH1121 of NunH5126, a manH376 22in whomH834 is the SpiritH7307, and 23layH5564 your handH3027 on him; 19and have him standH5975 beforeH6440 EleazarH499 the priestH3548 and beforeH6440 allH3605 the congregationH5712, and 24commissionH6680 him in their sightH5869. 20You shall putH5414 someH4480 of your 25authorityH1935 on him, in orderH4616 that allH3605 the congregationH5712 of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 may obeyH8085 him. 21Moreover, he shall standH5975 beforeH6440 EleazarH499 the priestH3548, who shall inquireH7592 for him 26by the judgmentH4941 of the UrimH224 beforeH6440 the LordH3068.
