10Then Balak’sH1111 angerH639 burnedH2734 againstH413 BalaamH1109, and he struckH5606 his 1handsH3709 togetherH5606; and BalakH1111 saidH559 to BalaamH1109, “I calledH7121 you to curseH6895 my enemiesH340, but beholdH2009, you have persistedH1288 in blessingH1288 them theseH2088 threeH7969 timesH6471! 11Therefore, 2fleeH1272 to your placeH4725 nowH6258. I saidH559 I would honorH3513 you greatlyH3513, but beholdH2009, the LordH3068 has heldH4513 you backH4513 from honorH3519.” 12BalaamH1109 saidH559 to BalakH1111, “3Did I not tellH1696 your messengersH4397 whomH834 you had sentH7971 to me, sayingH559, 13‘ThoughH518 BalakH1111 were to giveH5414 me his houseH1004 fullH4393 of silverH3701 and goldH2091, I couldH3201 not doH6213 anything contraryH5674 to the 4commandH6310 of the LordH3068, either goodH2899 orH176 badH7451, 5of my own 6accordH3820. 7WhatH834 the LordH3068 speaksH1696, that I will speakH1696’? 14And nowH6258, beholdH2009, 8I am goingH1980 to my peopleH5971; comeH1980, and I will adviseH3289 you whatH834 thisH2088 peopleH5971 will doH6213 to your peopleH5971 in the 9daysH3117 to comeH319.”
15He tookH5375 up his discourseH4912 and saidH559, “10The oracleH5002 of BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160, And the oracleH5002 of the manH1397 whose eyeH5869 is openedH8365,16The oracleH5002 of him who hearsH8085 the 11wordsH561 of GodH410, And knowsH3045 the knowledgeH1847 of the 12MostH5945 HighH5945, Who seesH2372 the visionH4236 of 13the AlmightyH7706, FallingH5307 downH5307, yet having his eyesH5869 uncoveredH1540.17I seeH7200 him, but not nowH6258; I beholdH7789 him, but not nearH7138; A starH3556 shall comeH1869 forth from JacobH3290, 14A scepterH7626 shall riseH6965 from IsraelH3478, 15And shall crushH4272 throughH4272 the 16foreheadH6285 of MoabH4124, And 17tearH7175 downH7175 allH3605 the sonsH1121 of 18ShethH8352.1819EdomH112 shall be a possessionH3423, 20SeirH8165, its enemiesH340, also will be a possessionH3423, While IsraelH3478 performsH6213 valiantlyH2428.19One from JacobH3290 shall haveH7287 dominionH7287, And will destroyH6 the remnantH8300 from the cityH5892.”
20And he lookedH7200 at AmalekH6002 and tookH5375 up his discourseH4912 and saidH559, “AmalekH6002 was the firstH7225 of the nationsH1471, 21But his endH319 shall be 22destructionH8.”
21And he lookedH7200 at the 23KeniteH7017, and tookH5375 up his discourseH4912 and saidH559, “Your dwellingH4186 placeH4186 is enduringH386, And your nestH7064 is setH7760 in the cliffH5553.22NeverthelessH3588H518 KainH7014 will be consumedH1197; HowH4100 longH5704 will 24AsshurH804 25keepH7617 you captiveH7628?”
23Then he tookH5375 up his discourseH4912 and saidH559, “AlasH188, whoH4310 can liveH2421 except GodH410 has ordainedH7760 it?24But shipsH6716 shall come from the coastH3027 of 26KittimH3794, And they shall afflictH6031 AsshurH804 and will afflictH6031 27EberH5677; 28So they alsoH1571 will come to destructionH8.”
