Numbers 20:17-21

17PleaseH4994 1let us passH5674 through your landH776. We will not passH5674 throughH5674 fieldH7704 or through vineyardH3754; we will not even drinkH8354 waterH4325 from a wellH875. We will goH1980 along the king’sH4428 highwayH1870, not turningH5186 to the rightH3225 or leftH8040, untilH5704H834 we passH5674 throughH5674 your territoryH1366.’”

182EdomH112, however, saidH559 to him, “You shall not passH5674 throughH5674 3us, orH6435 I will comeH3318 out with the swordH2719 againstH7122 you.” 19Again, the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 to him, “We will goH5927 up by the highwayH4546, and ifH518 I and 4my livestockH4735 do drinkH8354 any of your waterH4325, 5then I will 6payH5414 its priceH4377. Let me onlyH7534 passH5674 throughH5674 on my feetH7272, 7nothingH369H1697 else.” 20But he saidH559, “8You shall not passH5674 throughH5674.” And EdomH112 cameH3318 out againstH7122 him with a heavyH3515 9forceH5971 and with a strongH2389 handH3027. 2110Thus EdomH112 refusedH3985 to allowH5414 IsraelH3478 to passH5674 throughH5674 his territoryH1366; 11so IsraelH3478 turnedH5186 awayH5186 from him.
