Numbers 20:17-21
17PleaseH4994 1let us passH5674 through your landH776. We will not passH5674 through fieldH7704 or vineyardH3754; we will not even drinkH8354 waterH4325 from a wellH875. We will goH1980 along the king’sH4428 roadH1870, not turningH5186 to the rightH3225 or leftH8040, untilH5704H834 we passH5674 throughH5674 your territoryH1366.’”
182EdomH112, however, saidH559 to him, “You shall not passH5674 through 3us, orH6435 I will comeH3318 outH3318 with the swordH2719 againstH7122 you.” 19Again, the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 to him, “We will goH5927 upH5927 by the roadH4546, and ifH518 I and 4my livestockH4735 do drinkH8354 any of your waterH4325, 5then I will 6payH5414 its priceH4377. Let me onlyH7534 passH5674 throughH5674 on my feetH7272, 7nothingH369H1697 more.” 20But he saidH559, “8You shall not passH5674 throughH5674.” And EdomH112 cameH3318 outH3318 againstH7122 him with a heavyH3515 9forceH5971 and a strongH2389 handH3027. 2110So EdomH112 refusedH3985 to allowH5414 IsraelH3478 to passH5674 through his territoryH1366; 11then IsraelH3478 turnedH5186 awayH5186 from him.
