Job 21:7-34
7WhyH4069 1do the wickedH7563 still liveH2421, ContinueH6275 on, alsoH1571 becomeH1396 veryH2428 2powerfulH2428?8Their 34descendantsH2233 are establishedH3559 with them in their sightH6440, And their offspringH6631 before their eyesH5869,9Their housesH1004 5are safeH7965 from fearH6343, And the rodH7626 of GodH433 is not on them.10His oxH7794 matesH5674 6withoutH3808 failH1602; His cowH6510 calvesH6403 and does not abortH7921.11They sendH7971 forth their littleH5759 onesH5759 like the flockH6629, And their childrenH3206 skipH7540 aboutH7540.12They 7singH5375 to the timbrelH8596 and harpH3658 And rejoiceH8055 at the soundH6963 of the fluteH5748.13They 8spendH1086 their daysH3117 in prosperityH2896, And 9suddenlyH7281 they goH5181 downH5181 to 10SheolH7585.14They sayH559 to GodH410, ‘11DepartH5493 from us! We do not even desireH2654 the knowledgeH1847 of Your waysH1870.1512WhoH4100 is 13the AlmightyH7706, that we should serveH5647 Him, And 14whatH4100 would we gainH3276 ifH3588 we entreatH6293 Him?’16BeholdH2005, their prosperityH2898 is not in their handH3027; The 15counselH6098 of the wickedH7563 is farH7368 from me.
17“HowH4100 oftenH4100 is 16the lampH5216 of the wickedH7563 putH1846 out, Or does their 17calamityH343 fallH935 on them? Does 18God apportionH2505 destructionH2256 in His angerH639?18Are they as 19strawH8401 beforeH6440 the windH7307, And like 20chaffH4671 which the stormH5492 carriesH1589 awayH1589?19You say, ‘21GodH433 storesH6845 awayH6845 22a man’s iniquityH205 for his sonsH1121.’ Let 23God repayH7999 him so that he may knowH3045 it.20Let his 24own eyesH5869 seeH7200 his decayH3589, And let him 25drinkH8354 of the wrathH2534 of 26the AlmightyH7706.21For whatH4100 does he careH2656 for his householdH1004 27afterH310 him, When the numberH4557 of his monthsH2320 is cutH2686 offH2686?22Can anyone 28teachH3925 GodH410 knowledgeH1847, In that He 29judgesH8199 those on highH7311?23OneH2088 30diesH4191 in his fullH8537 strengthH6106, Being whollyH3605 at easeH7600 and 31satisfiedH7961;24His 32sidesH5845 are filledH4390 out with fatH2459, And the 33marrowH4221 of his bonesH6106 is moistH8248,25While anotherH2088 diesH4191 with a bitterH4751 soulH5315, NeverH3808 even 34tastingH398 anything goodH2899.26TogetherH3162 they 35lieH7901 downH7901 in the dustH6083, And 36wormsH7415 coverH3680 them.
27“BeholdH2005, I knowH3045 your thoughtsH4284, And the plansH4209 by which you would wrongH2554 me.28For you sayH559, ‘WhereH346 is the houseH1004 of 37the noblemanH5081, And whereH346 is the 38tentH168, the dwellingH4908 placesH4908 of the wickedH7563?’29Have you not askedH7592 wayfaringH5674 men, And do you not recognizeH5234 their 39witnessH226?30For the 40wickedH7451 is reservedH2820 for the dayH3117 of calamityH343; They will be ledH2986 forthH2986 at 41the dayH3117 of furyH5678.31WhoH4310 will 42confrontH5046H5921H6440 him with his actionsH1870, And whoH4310 will repayH7999 him for what he has doneH6213?32While he is carriedH2986 to the graveH6913, Men will keepH8245 watchH8245 overH5921 his tombH1430.33The 43clodsH7263 of the valleyH5158 will 44gentlyH4985 coverH4985 him; Moreover, 45allH3605 menH120 will 46followH4900 afterH310 him, While countlessH369H4557 ones go beforeH6440 him.34HowH349 then will you vainlyH1892 47comfortH5162 me, For your answersH8666 remainH7604 full of 48falsehoodH4604?”
