Jeremiah 51:59-64

The 1messageH1697 whichH834 JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 commandedH6680 SeraiahH8304 the sonH1121 of 2NeriahH5374, the grandsonH1121 of MahseiahH4271, when he wentH1980 with 3ZedekiahH6667 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 to BabylonH894 in the fourthH7243 yearH8141 of his reignH4427. (Now SeraiahH8304 was quartermasterH8269H4496.)

So JeremiahH3414 4wroteH3789 in a singleH259 5scrollH5612 allH3605 the calamityH7463 whichH834 would comeH935 upon BabylonH894, that is, allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 which have been writtenH3789 concerningH413 BabylonH894.

Then JeremiahH3414 saidH559 to SeraiahH8304, “As soon as you comeH935 to BabylonH894, then seeH7200 that you readH7121 allH3605 theseH428 wordsH1697 aloud,

and sayH559, ‘You, O LordH3068, have 6promisedH1696 concerningH413 thisH2088 placeH4725 to 7cutH3772 it offH3772, so that there will be 8nothingH1115 dwellingH3427 in it, 9whetherH4480 manH120 or beastH929, but it will be a perpetualH5769 desolationH8077.’

And as soon as you finishH3615 readingH7121 thisH2088 10scrollH5612, you will tieH7194 a stoneH68 to it and 11throwH7993 it into the middleH8432 of the EuphratesH6578,

and sayH559, ‘JustH3602 soH3602 shall BabylonH894 sinkH8257 downH8257 and 12not riseH6965 again becauseH4480H6440 of the calamityH7463 that I am going to bringH935 upon her; and they will becomeH3286 13exhaustedH3286.’” 14ThusH2008 farH5704 are the wordsH1697 of JeremiahH3414.
